got them from the casa. 'been waiting for that and 'been following up mmpc. thanks to mr LC from MMPC who had patiently answered by email queries!

tailgate cladding is 3.9K (round off); rear garnish is 4.5K. if casa painted and installed...total for the 2 set-ups would be around 13K.

Here are the parts number...LZ080005 (cladding) and LZ080004.
that tailgate cladding is cheap at 4k. got mine from a-toy for 6k, unpainted. what i noticed with that cladding is the top part is square'sh and did not blend well (slope) with the side claddings.

here's the thai stock tailgate cladding

Sir stubby, did you need to wax every other month? after the Big bert treatement ?

    Thank you....
no need sir. the sealant they apply is good for 3 months. thats why its a quarterly program. i must admit, however, that the smoothness of the treated surface diminishes even before the next re-application is reached. and because its been raining so much the past weeks and my parking at the office is in an open carpark, water spots easily develop. but the luster is still there. on my third re-application in august, i plan to add a layer of this wax called rainhop after the treatment. it adds protection against acid rain and water spots.

Turbo timers essentially are used to prolong engine life. Its function is to keep the engine running when you've stopped the car so that the oil in the turbo chamber would burn as much as possible leaving little to no residue stored in the chambers. Some people just sit in their cars idle a few seconds/minutes before turning off their engines. Then we have us who's lazy to do so or in a hurry when we get to our destinations and want to turn off our cars right away. So the reason for installing turbo timers is to burn up that oil left from our trip, which could build up after a few years especially if you're a high rev driver.
AFAIK, the use to a turbo timer is to prolong the life of the turbo, not the engine. The engine oil serves as a coolant for the turbo. when the turbo spools, a lot of heat is generated. engine oil helps the turbo cool, like water and coolant does to an engine. when you shut off the engine, you shut off the oil pump and essentially cut off the oil supply to the turbo. the turbo now does not have engine oil to help it cool down... oil starvation. in the long run, the turbo will be damaged because the metal composition will change because of constant high heat, without a coolant.

the turbo timer allows the engine to keep on running and keep pumping oil to the turbo while the driver can walk out from his car and not wait for a minute or so before turning the engine off.

    *XTO,

were you able to active the rear fog with the stalk switch? if so, appreciate any info on how you did it.

    thanks

my mistake, i was thinking the turbo and i wrote engine without rereading my post.. thank you for the correction.. hope i didn't mess up other people with my words.

Though i get the logic, i was told differently.... cause if this was the case, instead of at idle, reving the engine which will pump oil into the turbo cooling it faster?
I was told that the need was take out the oil pumped into the turbo so that residue will not form, collecting and hence eventually messing up the turbo?

Well i'm not an expert about this, but the bottomline is, with or without a turbo timer, either way, we need to have a rest period before turning off the engine.. we should all be wary that our turbos are delicate and expensive so we need to take proper procedures to prolong its life.

no, i didn't bother to have my switch converted the same as the SE because casa do not support and seems not cooperative with that kind of modification, you know? and it would cost me more. rodel of winterpine simply install and had it tapped with my parklight and that's it. it serves its purpose

as i noticed about a-toy design, yes it's more stylish and flawless but the thing is we really have to to get rid off the OEM emblems or somewhat transfer it somewhere which i personally don't agree - but some prefers that including NTYcE so preference still prevails.

but im sure those having SE variant will definitely have a second thinking about that.

Maybe you can look into that. Ask mickey what's available for that application, tell him regardless price. Then choose from there.
    Sir Ntyce,

Yeah, JL and ID still seem to be the options until now. I have a choice between a JL 10W0v2 and an ID CTX104. Price-wise, the JL's around double of the ID. I agree that the JL will definitely sound better, but was also considering the ID since the enclosure's pretty expensive already.

I never had any intention on keeping the emblems, i don't like emblems on cars, the brand of the car is usually good enough... but anyways, with MY design (ehem ehem wink wink... HAHAHAHA) i've seen some people put it over the garnish. Same place/area except over the garnish, since that top part of the garnish is very thin anyways. It won't look like its too far out.

    Hi sir NTYcE,
Nice memory, im very glad you still remember me. I learned a lot from this forum as much as i also enjoyed reading it.

    Sirs,
Need your expert advice po. Our unit a week ago had a problem because the "check engine indicator lamp" appeared. We brought it right away to casa & have it checked. They were able to remove that warning signal that day. After 2 days it appeared again & brought it back to casa for thorough check-up, we left it there for 2 days. After thorough inspection the casa personnel told me that there's a problem/defect on the EGR bulb and they were able to remove the "check engine" warning signal again. This EGR bulb is the one responsible for emission something daw.... They advised us to further observe our unit if it still appears. It was yesterday when it appeared again, i immediately call them. They guaranteed us that they are going to replace the defective part as this is still under warranty. My fear was since i don't know much on this parts, the thoughts of it might be defective again after few months or years & the warranty already lapses. Is this warning signal signifies a BIG TROUBLE on our unit? Pls. advice..... TIA

    * NTYcE, haha let me check at a-toy if they would mention your name as the designer of that kit anyway, i still haven't seen any monty with the rear cladding aside from yours naks! :rofl01:

am still waiting to see one with that type with all the OEM emblems and if it fits right then maybe i can consider that too.

thanks NTYcE! my planned set-up is just to add some few garnish to have a cleaner look. Your car's is still our dream set-up and will remain as a dream only...

speaking of intellectual property rights...you should collect your royalty fee from a-toy since your tailgate garnish design is now being sold to many! congratulations! and perhaps you might want to contact MMPC and ask them if they can consider you to be part of their MS accessory planning team...so we, MS owners, may expect better accessory design in the future!

    cheers!
