Montero Sport GLX 2.5 Non-VGT Owners

As per advise by sir zix, may cabin filter na daw ung 2015 glx model.

May tpms na din sya. Pero walang gps antenna and sd card.

That TPMS IMO, is the most convenient feature of this model... I usually start my driving by checking this. I have also noticed that sometimes, it takes awhile for the measurements to update.. At one point, I already drove for over a kilometer, before a couple of them gave me the expected/correct measurements.

In my experience, the GPS is a piece of sh!t (or I still do not know how to use it),- when I enter a POI (point of interest),- it will not recognize it. Must be in the way the map was written (or a GPS setting ?).... How do I know what map version I have? Other than the size of the display,- my Garmin GPSs are far better than this.

Also, anyone here knows how I can PERMANENTLY turn off the reminder for the PMS? It was a pain at 1KKm. This bugs my driving...

I am certain that it will haunt me again for my 5KKm PMS.....

I agree. The TPMS is very useful. My sisters monty came free with the GPS and not the TPMS.

Mas mura kesa kasa. In the meantime, i find the osm and on my android phone very handy. Its portable so before the trip, i just plot the places i will go to.

Havent seen the PMS reminder but im also curious about that. Back read the thread if my understanding is accurate, theres a certain code that needa to be entered. Its yr model specific, not sure what it is.

Mga sir, experience ko sa tpms nagbibigay ng warning minsan kahit kakastart pa lang ng engine..pero tire pressure ko nasa recommended psi naman..at un warning tumatagal the whole trip..mawawala lang kapag pinatay mo un engine then restart..around 4-5times na nangyari since I got my monty last June 2015..may mali ba sa tpms ko? Or anything sa system?

It is on the center console display bro. It kicks you out from what you're doing, GPS, music or general information and reminds you of your PMS...

I went for the low down. I believe its somewhere around 1.1m. Discount was huge so i went for it.

meron sa gps antenna yung 2015 glx ko...problema ko lng saan mkakabili ng sd card?...kanino pwed mkabili d2 ng gps sd card na may map provider ng Iloilo area at tumatanggap ng ship sa location ko?...thanks

Hi Guys,

Just got my 2015 Montero GLX SE (manual) 2 weeks ago. I just noticed when I checked the dip stick for the engine oil, the oil is only at 3/4. (This is after a 15 min drive from the car wash, then turned the engine off, then let it sit for 3-5 mins before I checked the dip stick). Is this normal or should I add more oil? TIA.

Has anyone tried mixing 2T oil with diesel fuel on their Montero? If so, are there any noticeable difference in performance, fuel efficiency, etc.? are there any disadvantages as well? tia.

Normal po ba na ung thermostat naka set na sa halos full settings para lumamig ung ac? I feel na medyo mahina ac ni monty. Nasanay kase ako sa jazz na kahit nasa gitna lang ung thermostat pwede na. Should I have it checked? Thanks
I 've considered the following possibilities, mas malaki si monty so mas matagal lumamig, jazz is almost half the size. However am referring to the intensity ng lamig na buga from ac, sa jazz malamig talaga, sa monty, bitin ung lamig

you can have it check, yung unit ko more than 3 yrs na wala pa sa half yung setting ng thermostat malamig na. minsan kapag mainit yung windshield natatalo yung lamig sa harap but switch mo yung sa rear vent and in a shortwhile ok na ang lamig.
