    Salamat sir. Makakasira ba na GL1 yung linagay? Bad trip kasi kaya nga ko sa motorix pa dumayo kala ko sanay sila sa pajero at mitsubishi, mali pala na GL1 yung linagay nila? Dapat ba bumalik ako sakanila then sabihin ko mali linagay nila?

    Ang intindi ko din kasi sa mga nabasa ko online, yung GL4-5 para sa Gearoils kung Matic yung pajero, pag manual GL1,2,3 dapat?

    API classification subdivides all transmission oils into 6 classes:
    API GL-1. Oils for light conditions. They consist of base oils without additives. Sometimes they contain small amounts of antioxidizing additives, corrosion inhibitors, depressants and antifoam additives. API GL-1 oils are designed for spiral-bevel, worm gears and manual transmissions without synchronizers in trucks and farming machines.
    API GL-2. Oils for moderate conditions. They contain anti-wear additives and are designed for worm gears. Recommended for proper lubrication of tractor and farming machine transmissions.
    API GL-3. Oils for moderate conditions. Contain up to 2.7% anti-wear additives. Designed for lubricating bevel and other gears of truck transmissions. Not recommended for hypoid gears.
    API GL-4. Oils for various conditions - light to heavy. They contain up to 4.0% effective anti-scuffing additives. Designed for bevel and hypoid gears which have small displacement of axes, the gearboxes of trucks, and axle units. These oils are standard for synchronized gearboxes, especially in Europe, and may also be recommended for non-synchronized gearboxes of US trucks, tractors and buses and for main and other gears of all vehicles. GL-4 oils may also be used in many limited-slip differentials.
    API GL-5. Oils for severe conditions. They contain up to 6.5% effective anti-scuffing additives. The general application of oils in this class are for hypoid gears having significant displacement of axes, generally non limited-slip differentials. They are recommended as universal oils to all other units of mechanical transmission (except synchronized gearboxes specifying GL-4). Some GL-5 oils in this class, which have special approval of vehicle manufacturers, can be used in synchronized manual gearboxes. API GL-5 oils can be used in limited slip differentials only if they correspond to the requirements of specification MIL-L-2105D or ZF TE-ML-05. In this case the designation of class will be another, for example API GL-5+ or API GL-5 LS.
    API GL-6 is not applied any more as it is considered that class API GL-5 well enough meets the most severe requirements. When API GL-6 was still in use, it denoted oils for very heavy conditions (high speeds of sliding and significant shock loadings). They contained up to 10% high performance anti-scuffing additives. They were designed for hypoid gears with significant displacement of axes. However, in 2011 at least one company offers new polyol ester based API GL-6 oil, mostly for racing applications.[1] The application is limited to certain types of manual transmissions, but improvements in BSFC of about 5% in standard weather and driving conditions and up to 15-20% in cold extremes (arctic weather conditions) can be expected.[2]

    GL-5 usually is used for hypoid type of differential... kasama na mga limited slip with additives, tapos may kasamang extreme pressure additives yan...

    GL-4 halos ka parehas lang din nang GL-5 in terms of application....

    Gl-1 walang extreme pressure additives na kasama

    the major concern and difference between Gl-5 and GL-4 is the additive that is present,the EP...

    EP(extreme pressure additives) are corrosive to yellow metals such as copper or brass in bushings and synchronizers

    GL-5 is not necessarily backward compatible in synchro-mesh transmissions designed for a GL-4 oil due to its corrosiveness to yellow metals and also because GL-5 has a lower coefficient of friction

    mga sir, there was a vibration on my 03FM during reverse driving but on normal/forward driving normal cruise ala naman vibration. ano po kayang culprit? TIA and good am po.

    Thanks po. Bumalik ako motorix, pinapalitan ko na lang ulit lahat, Progear GL5 sae80-90 made in US nakakuha ko sa richcar wala kasi gl5 sa motorix for front and rear differentials, Whiz GL4 sae90 for transfer case and pinapalitan ko na din yung sa manual transmission same whiz gl4 sae90. Di na lang ako siningil sa labor.
    Laki na difference vs nung linagay nila before sae140 gl1 sa differentials, mabigat itakbo sigurado mas malakas yun sa konsumo, ngayon dito sa sae80-90 gl5 gaan talaga ramdam mo liksi. Naglalagay lang daw dapat ng 140 kung mejo may ingay na differentials.
    Regarding naman sa ecogear GL1 gearoils na linagay sakin nung una, nung dumaan ako sa el dorado malapit kasi samin, nung nagtanong ako papalit ng gearoils differentials and transfer case, same oil ang pinakita sakin! Ecogear GL1, yun lang daw meron sila at yun talaga linalagay sa fieldmaster, nung nagtanong ako about GL4&5 oils di alam nung mechanic basta daw sae90 yun daw linalagay nila talaga. Ang mahal pa ng labor, 1.2k di kasama manual transmission compared sa 550 ng motorix. Nagtanong din ako labor sa richcar 8-900 tanda ko di pa kasama manual transmission which is another 750. Sa motorix 250 siningil sakin sa manual transmission. Sumarap ngayon ipasok yung kambyo lalu na sa primera dati mejo hirap. So far so good naman!

    ^ good thing naman at ayos na diff and tranny oil mo. Magandang quality din yang whiz oils.

    I use 80w90 GL4 and 5 din ng Valvoline. Yung synthetic na din para suwabe.

    share ko lang guys... pinalift ko pajero ko.. sa likod lang... 1.5" dahil may kalumaan na gen2 namin and medyo bagsak na likod... may siningit lang na goma sa springs.. 500php lang.. (parts and labor napo yan) mga 1 hour lang siguro ginawa
    ang nagturo sakin yung mga banawe boys.. una natakot din ako kasi baka... raket... pero maayos naman trabaho nila and.. maganda naman kinalabasan ng ride...

    5k km, or 3 months whichever comes first... minsan kasi matagal natin maabot ang 5k km per interval

    kung may budget go for fully synthetic... pero multigrade/mineral will do... mobil1 delvac mx 15w-40 gamit ko
    di ako sure sa 4d56, pero siguro 5-6liters?!

    4.anu magandang brand ng oil filter and magkano? dun ako sa readily available and subok na... vic or bosch (P300 +/- siguro price)

    5.tuwing kelan ang change ng atf?

    general recommendation every 20k km... tapos sa 40k km, pull down pan, palit a/t filter

    DIY syempre masmura since ikaw magsosource ng parts (pwede canvass then buy the cheapest) tapos walang labor fee. gas siguro ang expenses mo travelling from your suking autosupply/lubricant dealer back to your place.

    kapag sa shops kasi gaya ng nabanggit, nandun na lahat wala kana aalahanin just bring your car and wait at the lounge.

    meron na ba nakapagpalit ng auxiliary fan ng aircon para sa gen2.5? idk if same sila ng gen 2. pinacheck ko kasi yun air con, ayaw lumamig if nakatigil yun sasakyan puro buga lang then pag naandar ok na ulit... they found out na hindi nagana yun dalawa fan.. meron daw sila orig nun 3500 yun nasa taas, then 2500 yun nasa baba? pwede na ba o mahal? denso din daw..

    sir, sino po yung "sila" nyo? ...mukhang mura po ang presyo nila for original denso aux fan... checked my records year 2010 i replaced my aux fan (yung big, nasa likod ng grill) priced at P4,650 from denso quezon avenue... baka bumaba na presyo. yung small aux fan sa baba pinarepair ko lang cost me P450 sa reys electrical marikina.

    sila> if same yun pang gen 2 and gen2.5.. thanks sa info sir.. check ko din muna baka surplus lang yun kanila, mura kasi or baka fake..hehe patingnan ko din muna sa electrician at baka magawan pa ng paraan..

    napalitan din yun 2 motor ng aux fan para sa aircon..

    eto yun denso part number:
    065000-7121-main fan =3.5k
    062500-6351-small fan =2.8k
