Good to hear nobody got hurt. At least Hindi kayo moving at that time or else Baka mas worst Ang situation. If I may suggest, you can have it estimated as Citimotors makati para at least sanay sila on the parts and repairs. I had mine done din dati dun when my front bumper was slightly damaged ng isang pickup. Paestimate mo and ask the fortuner owner to coordinate with them para insurance nila Ang magasikaso Ng paper works . It will take time for them to fix documents until such time that Citimotors will call you para ipasok mo na Ang saksakyan. You should not pay anything kasi sila Lang naman Ang may kasalanan. Yung tire cover, pa replace mo na and maybe have it repainted according to your choice of color.

    * Acertan: Good that nothing serious happened.

The rear stepborad is all aluminum and around P3K up ang pricing afaik. You need to replace/repair also pala the tire cover but that would not be much. Sana hindi misaligned yung rear bumper.

Hassle pag ganyan but show you how tough the pajero is built.

    Good Day to all

Plano ko mag change ng gear oils using Synthetic Blend Oil. Question is ano ba specs at volume para sa Transmission at Differential? Any brand that you would recommend? My Pajero by the way is Gen 2.5 Manual Tranny (Local Unit)

    Many Thanks

Best estimate or conservative na yan bro BG.

I measured it using Hot engine temp... dati kasi pag malamig yung makina tsaka ako nag susukat. Tsaka low mileage lang kasi ako since a few times ko lang gamitin a week.

Come to think of it napag isip ako, di ba sa dipstick yung Hot marker sa taas pero yung Cold ang nasa baba? tama ba? Meaning kapag umiinit yung Tranny or ginamit yung Auto bumababa yung ATF level which I think is logical since kukunin nya yung atf sa sump nya at mag circulate sa tourque converter... Ewan ko lang, pero I think the dip stick is mixed up, dapat baligtad yung marker. Anyway to be on the safe side I measured it sa Hot Engine temp and not Cold, I'd rather stick to operating temp than cold temp...

On a side note, my tranny is operating well and is still very responsive... and my KYB shocks are almost as soft as the soft setting ng OEM. And still holds very well on the bends..

Sa pajero kais natin checking the ATF should be while the engine has warmed up and it is idling while nasa "P" yung AT lever. So normal na yung cold reading eh nasa taas yung makikita mo because hindi nag-cicirculate yung AT fluid. Napansin ko din yun eh.

So ako check ako every time kakarating sa office using hot markers.

Ok pa nga tingin ko yung 1year as long as hindi nga mataas mileage, ako kasi nasa 11K lang halos 1 year ko this past year eh.

    Hi FM Peeps.

    Happy New Year.

1st problem of my FM for 2012, naka ilaw ang battery sa panel guage.
    Suspect is alternator.
I start the engine. Then unplug the batt terminal, then namatay na engine.
Also batt is not charging kahet mag rev ako...consistent 12V only.

So, conclusion alternator problem na talaga.

    Ano specs ng FM alternator?
Tomorrow mag canvass din ako. Pero baka meron may idea how much.
I prefer replacement instead of repair kasi. Any idea sa repair?
What brand of alternator gamet nyo?

    thanks

If pwede i-repair go with the repair. Original is 90 or 100amps, and would cost you way-way-way more than having it repaired. But if you've got the bucks to burn Get a brand new one thats made in japan or the exact original one to have your peace of mind.

Kung replacement, sabi ng mechanic ko dati bolt-on daw yung pang starex. not sure though but it will set you back around 7K thats a year ago...

oo nga e, need ko na mag pa estimate based on my friend if casa meron pa pala estimate fee that will be waived pag pinatuloy pero pag hinde babayaran mo yun, stepfoot is 8k tirecover is 13k as for the bumper he had no idea.

yung sa bumper it caused the the two rear corner to dislocate from the body so parang nakaangat siya nakatingala ng konti i checked the bolts parang na move lang siya kaso napakatigas nung bumper pangit naman kung pupukpukin lang nila yun.

oo nga i wonder if the new gen pajero is as tough as the old gen?

Better look for a good and honest electrical shop in your area. Running on battery alone is a risk you have to take or have the alternator taken out...

    thanks again.

Yup I agree risky na running on battery only. Planning to scout talaga ko kung may malapit sa area ko before ko dalin.
And before I take out the alternator, I want to test more sana...
Is there a way I can test easily kung regulator ang problem? or fuse sa wiring kung meron man.....

along the bridge overtaking lane tanaw na parang traffic so i started to slow down and made a full stop, while on stop about a few seconds since may car pa sa harap ko ,bigla nalang nanginig im still stepping on brake by that time then biglang yung mga coins,cp sa console lumipad and yung laptop sa likod nalaglag sa gitna sa lakas ng impact.

fortuner miscalculated to brake and tried to swerve on my right and hit us for the 1st time and the innova on his rear is too fast since the driver of innova already stated that his brake pedal is already on the floor but still not enough and made impact on the rear of fortuner thus pushed at the back of pajero for the 2nd time.

buti nalang at naka seatbelt kame at matigas yung rear bumper and rear door and higit sa lahat wala naman na injured

prior to our place about near the end of the bridge meron pala 6 cars na nagbangaan that caused the overtaking lane to choke in just instant second

as per agreement, fortuner is liable to the damage to my pajero and the innova is liable to the damage to fortuner, now fortuner has comprehensive insurance since its only 3 months old, im not sure about the innova.

the owner of fortuner said that his insurance is the one that will be responsible for the repair on the damage on my part,i need to canvass and request for a estimate on repair on the damage.

    tire cover
    rear step pedal
    rear bumper

help san kaya pede mag pa estimate ng repairs nito also can some one enlighten me on how thus a case like the comprehensive insurance works??

    thanks

any additional info kung san kayo meron ma rerecommend na shop for estimate? need kasi ng formal estimate kaya di pede yung sa tabe tabe lang

I had a quote for alternator at MIT-Parts Banawe.

    5.5K - Reconditioned
    16K - OEM

They also have parts of the alternator.
PLanning to have it check first then buy parts.

Pero what about yung reconditioned unit? ok ba ito? Japan units daw ito tapos inayos.....

    any comments?

    thanks
