Kung mas spacious yung Expander versus the Innova, eh di ma spacious ang Expander kaysa sa Montero Sport.

So their capacity to build is actually 5000 units per month, and they're ramping it to 7000 units monthly.

MMPC will have plenty of stock in the coming months....

Not hard to do. Ladder frame construction raises the floor, making packaging harder for the Innova.

    Expander, no such issues.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Compared sa current Innova or previous Innova?

They'll just weigh which country to prioritize or do a compromise.
Pwede namang from the 7K units produced monthly, 500 units lang ang iallocate sa Pilipinas para naman magkaroon ng market presence dito kahit papaano.

Boss Niky, what are your insights regarding the Xpander? It’s overall performance versus BR-V and Avanza? Thanks

Really? Car of the year candidate? Baka nga pero mukhang darating na rin Toyota Rush sa 2Q. Magandang laban.

well in mountain bike suspension there's a huge array of damper tech

lemme digress a bit. i'm calling it "damper" and not "shock" coz what's known as shocks in cars is actually a damper (a damper doesn't absorb shock ). on the minimum it provides some rebound damping so the car doesn't bob up and down continuously as you travel down the road

however some primitive damper designs have an issue called "spiking" wherein fluids can't flow fast enough on high-speed hits. so as you might expect this feels very harsh

on more sophisticated dampers there's a separate circuit for high-speed fluid flow. it's a system based on shims which are basically valves. so maybe the xpander has this more sophisticated damper design

Looking forward to this Xpander. The size comparison with Innova is real. Length is much shorter cos of the smaller engine and shorter bonnet housing it. Compromise vs Innova safety wise. Comes with VSC and dual front airbags only for the upper range. VSC, side & curtain airbags should be mandatory for all new releases in 2018 no matter the trim. Toyota started with the Altis last year and Yaris this year. Rush also has it standard across the range.

I'm doubtful on fuel consumption, we've seen so many 1.5L petrol people movers claiming good theoretical fuel consumption but gets killed in real world especially fully loaded. Stop and go kills it, takes so much fuel just to accelerate from standstill only to slow down a few meters later. We've seen it with the BR-V, will likely be the same for this.

Dapat matagal ng inilabas iyan ng Mitsubishi rito para naka-enjoy na siya ng a few months of market here and hopefully good reviews.....

Kasi, the Toyota Rush is at its heel now, apparently.

Siguradong puntahan ang mga tao sa Toyota niyan vs. the Xpander....

    Oh well....

baka nga, saw some german guy talk about dampers on youtube. this guy was freaking good on discussing it. he had this chalk board or was it a white board... awesome channel. i can't seem to find it.
