Turbo po ang naririnig nyo, parang may whistle pag binitawan yung accelerator pedal or pag nagshift ng gear,
Normal lang po yan, marami po nakaka-misinterpret ng ganyang sounds lalo pag first time sa diesel and galing sa gasoline...

pag nasa 2000RPM+ and above, naririnig yung parang whistle.. (turbo spool)

Both non-VGT at VGT, meron ganyang tunog, mas malakas ang sound sa VGT, maliban sa spool parang merong blow off valve, pag binitawan yung gas pedal during braking or during gear shifting

I know the sound of the turbo once you lifted the gas pedal and you will hear that whistling sound BUT this one is different and CASA checked this already and attested that this is not normal for Montero BUT in their Adventure daw ay super dami ng complains nila of like this. It is a continous sound na parang may open na window. If you could just back read, I shared it in detail in this and 2013 threads. I just do not know how to share a link for the audio. Sa mga new owners baka hindi niyo lang naririnig dahil open ang aircon and radio while in NLEX or SLEX at 80 & above speed. I am sharing this because both of us (my twin) experience the same with our new GLSV monties. Technician sprayed silicon in all doors but just good for 2 days then no feedback since then. They wanted to reconduct another assessment and that i was irritated because i will find time again to do this with them. TIA.

I did my break in 3 weeks ago at NLEX. I didn't notice any weird sounds. I wanted to hear how the engine sounds so I switched off the radio.

Yes sir, ultimate nga ang chip. Na pre-set na ni Zix yung setting. Check ko kung saan naka set mamaya.

Ace, handyman, auto supply shop. Meron chrome plated plastic itong sakin rubberized. DIY mo sir, huwag mo gamitin yong kasamang double sided tape, palitan mo nalang na rubberized double sided tape. Clip mo lang yan sa edge at ang tape lang ang peperme sa iyan.

So far, wala pa naman akong naririnig na mysterious sound, pero one time nung tumakbo ako sa daang hari, meron akong sound na kakaiba (di ko sure kung similar, parang yung deformed na mag wheels tapos yung goma ay sumisingaw), after a downhill run,
then, nawala naman.. (naka-off mode yung radio ko during driving)

Kung meron po akong freetime, will have a test run sa monty namin, naka-storage mode kasi...
para malaman ko na rin kung may mga defects yung sasakyan namin...

LongRun - naririnig ko rin yan sa 3 month old Monty ko kapag nasa Skyway & running about 100km/h. poor weather sealing ang culprit, i think weather strips sa doors or windows. Ganito nangyari sa Trooper namin nung naluma na pero mas malakas. had to replace weather strips sa lahat ng doors. Good idea yang edge protector, masubukan nga. thanks for sharing sir mangkas!

ok yan sir a, natatalsikan nga sa loob ng makina pag nag papa carwash sa gilid, malagyan nga din, naka patong lang kasi chip ko dun sa fuse box sa may battery nababasa..

Alin po kaya mga Sir ang mas okay na ipagawa para mawala po yun mausok na bigla acceleration for overtaking at uphill driving or pag naka high speed sa Highway... EGR Cleaning Package ng Mga Mitsubishi Dealer Service Center(CASA) or EGR Blanking ni Sir Zixx? Naka 2011 Mitsubishi Montero Sports GTV kami. Hope for your reply mga kaibigan.

Please share if you also experience the same. The sound is just like a loud continious "Wusshhhhh" sound at 80 & above. But please observe this when in freeway only (NLEX or SLEX) to be safe.

Sir LongRun, I also experience this and consulted it to casa. The SA there says that it's probably my wind visor. I haven't tried removing it to check.

definitely not the wind visor as I don't have them installed yet & I still hear the sound, it's like air coming in from the a slightly opened window while cruising the highway at high speed.

Sir LongRun, I also experience this and consulted it to casa. The SA there says that it's probably my wind visor. I haven't tried removing it to check.

Sir deist, thanks for clarifying that it's not the wind visor. It's actually annoying. I keep pressing down and up button because sometimes I thought that the windows are opened.

Sir, maganda pa clean mo EGR then sabay blank mo na, then use Unioil or Seaoil diesel , pm mo si bro Zixx, baka he can do both cleaning EGR / Blanking for you.
