Hi, I just got my montero last May. I would like to know if any of you have tried Unioil's Euro 4 diesel? The owner's manual specifically mentions using only Euro 4 diesel, but Mitsubishi SA recommends getting from Shell or Petron which are still Euro 2. I'm thinking of trying Unioil, but I am not sure if it may cause problems later on. Thanks!

Go ahead and use Unioil. Euro 4 diesel is cleaner and safer for Crdi engines.

We use shell v power nitro plus. 2km odo gls v user here still no smoke. Ganda humatak no turbo lag tamang bomba lang sa makina to get the rpm that I want. Wala naman din kasi unioil or seaoil dito. Lol. Happy trip guys! Ingat lagi.

And sa mga masters po, pede po mag consult, my unit kasi is only 2.5 GLX MT and I read this in the brochure (under engine features): "The Euro 2 compliant 2.5 liter DI-D Common Rail Diesel Engine...., etc." So this means my unit's engine is a Euro 2 compliant so for me it's Ok to use Euro 2 compliant diesel.... Or sa mga TOTL units kaya specified na Euro 4 na mga engines kaya must na Euro 4 diesel din i-karga?

Hirap po kasi mag hanap ng gas station na Euro 4 compliant na eh lalo na po sa province....

Sir kung may gas station around you that has euro 4 then go for it. By the way euro 4 is environmentally friendly. Depends on you pa din what diesel to use. Make a research kung anu composition ng mga diesel products and anu mabebenefit ng engine in the long run. Pag paiba iba ka sir ng gamit na diesel uusok talaga monty mo. A lot of oil and gas company use ethanol to increase the volume of their gas and sell it on same prize. Business is business sabi nga nila. Back read ka lang dyan sir madami ka matutunan. Happy trip! Ingats!

Thanks sir sa advice , anyway since wala euro 4 sa area namin, I will stick to shell fuel save then vpower once a month since may cleaning agent (kuno) ito for the fuel nozzles. So far ok naman unit ko, no smoke pa naman na observe eversince... maybe because my usual route is 50% normal traffic and 50% nlex so naihahataw ko si montey everyday.... happy trip too and god bless....

    Hi,
I asked some of the monty owners during PMS. They have installed backup camera & turbo timer outside and no issue naman sa CASA. But for you to be sure you can have it at Winterpine at Araneta, they are the official installer Mitsu affiliated.

Follow-up question to Tsikoteers here (2013 & 2014 models) with OCC (oil catch can) mods installed, is your warranty voids?
    TIA.

Me too. Gusto ko din magpakabit kaya lang higpit ng CASA. Di kasi nila alam, ang side nila is void agad ang warranty. Sana may mga taga MCP dito na ipaliwanag side natin. :D

Thanks for all the replies. This forum has been very helpful in helping me decide which fuel to use. I will definitely try unioil's Euro 4 diesel.

Btw, is sea oil also Euro 4? If so, that would be better since there is one closer to where I leave. Thanks again!
