I'm just sharing these mods in my monty c/o sir zix

First was an oil filter.



Then, an occ and the a/c filter. No pic for the ac filter.



Then, the long planned sb and chip combo.





Then, the k&n filter and the optitron.





And the recent one, high-beam drl module.

Question lang regarding GPS. Pag start ba ng engine nagiiscan na ba agad ang GPS for satellites or saka pa lang maghahanap kung inaccess na yung navi function ng head unit? Still trying to decide kung SD card or standalone GPS na lang bibilhin ko.

Ok lang ba pabugahan ng pressurised air yung k&n filter para lang mabawasan alikabok kahit every 3k then wash after every 20k? Di kaya masira ung element?

one thing against the built in gps is the screen resolution. and labeling of roads/POI's suffer. garmin units even years ago had better resolution. problem was routing using roadguide.ph map. kulang yung map details kaya minsan dalhin ka sa no entry. havent checked again since 2009 so maybe the local map in roadguide has improved. you can also check if AVT has units with better screen resolution.

an option If you have a data plan or pocket wifi, the waze app for ios/android is nice for its community traffic data. for a bigger screen, you can pair it with a nexus 7 wifi or an even larger ipad mini 3g (all ipad wifi units = no gps). the reason you need to pair the mini 3g with a pocket wifi is a limitation of our networks. you can manually set the mini to receive a 3g signal but it will soon switch to edge - more so if your moving between different cell sites. unlike android phones and pocket wifi's it doesnt have an option to lock it to receive only 3g signal. there will be times especially at night and because of cloud cover/car tint that the nexus/ipad mini will be off by 30-100 meters. and that sucks specially when the streets are tightly knit. the montero's oem gps receiver will be better in that department likely because its antenna is ideally positioned in the car.

sir.. yung mga nabibili sa banawe o yung mga after market na spare tire cover ay hindi maganda ang finish (for me).. rough yung nasa loob at fiberglass copy lang yun..

nag canvass din kse ako dati nun at hindi ko nagustuhan yung quality kaya sa casa na lang ako bumili though mas mahal.. if I remember it correctly mas mahal ng 1.5k sa casa compared dun sa na canvass ko sa banawe.. hard plastic naman yung sa casa pero di hamak na mas maganda yung quality..

nagpalagay din ako ng spare tire lock para at least may peace of mind ako at kung sakaling may mag attemp na magnakaw.. at least mahirapan man lang kahit na konti..

since the last time we meet until i arrived home here in dvo, got no time to play with it basis on my to do list priority, anyhow, all mods items got from you for my ms, a/c filter, occ, sb & chip tuning combo were all happily installed. re sb & chip tuning, like what you said ang lupit!! at syempre sir nandian lagi ang pagiingat. how i wish to avail some of your diy's the likes of optitron and high beam drl module kaso layo place ko. wait lang ko sir for my k & n filter. sir zix thanks a lot for your kindness..
