as traffic conditions varies so does the individual fuel economy numbers (light, moderate, heavy), that explains the variance on the reported fuel consumption here

now going back to the so called false claim of 21km/li as a sheer sales pitch, that is meant to deceive consumers. it will only be true if that magic number was not reached even in a light traffic condition

looking at the concept of fuel economy from a different perspective, i got my unit at 33km, now it has reached 601km with a total fuel spending of (400+200+500+500+500)=P2100. in computing fuel cost per km [2100/(601-33)]=P3.7/km. for every kilometer this car has carried me, i spent only almost P4 on fuel. does that make it a good product? surely it is, spending P528,xxx.xx (insurance & registration included) is certainly a value for money in a truest sense

to think my mirage still has 2bars of fuel to burn before the fuel gauge blinks at me again

    just a correction

got my unit at 33km, began gassing up at 110km when the fuel gauge started to blink on me for the first time. so the computation should be [2100/(601-110)]=P4.28/km

C5 southbound, weekday afternoon. Light to moderate traffic. Best city driving number I got. This one required intense concentration to keep it in the powerband for 5th gear in dense traffic!

^GLX-CVT, driven conservatively (below 60kph city driving)

18km/li on light to moderate traffic, driven alone, aircon set to 1
12.77km/li on a moderate to heavy traffic, with passengers, aircon set to 2

ill try light traffic in NLEX next time

NOTE: those figures were garnered thru manual computation, that goes to show that i dont trust the car on-board fuel economy calculator that much

Check mo sir yung xls sa FB page. So far, mas maganda FC ng CVT. Though I think di pa na-l-log doon yung ibang FC data ng karamihan sa mga nakakuha dito.

I think the MT and CVT vehicles even out when it comes to fuel consumption. The CVT is heavier and has more parasitic drag, but it also can reach a much lower ratio for highway driving than the manual's top gear.

Guyz help pano i-set yung oras ng stereo ng GLX? I tried following yung nasa manual "Press & hold Disp key" kaso "AUX1 ON" yung lumalabas.

"The problem is the steering: it’s slow, at over three and a half turns between locks, and vague, plus it's short on self-centring. Dynamically, it’s the weakest spot of the car by a distance."

I'd say the review is spot on. The electric power steering tuning as well as the steering ratio makes the steering incredibly light but vague. This is great for city driving but would be a minus for enthusiasts as it makes Mirage feels even more "arcadey" to drive than the GD Jazz.

if it takes that long for the steering wheel to lock on one side then naturally it will take long for it to return to center
