as traffic conditions varies so does the individual fuel economy numbers (light, moderate, heavy), that explains the variance on the reported fuel consumption here
now going back to the so called false claim of 21km/li as a sheer sales pitch, that is meant to deceive consumers. it will only be true if that magic number was not reached even in a light traffic condition
looking at the concept of fuel economy from a different perspective, i got my unit at 33km, now it has reached 601km with a total fuel spending of (400+200+500+500+500)=P2100. in computing fuel cost per km [2100/(601-33)]=P3.7/km. for every kilometer this car has carried me, i spent only almost P4 on fuel. does that make it a good product? surely it is, spending P528,xxx.xx (insurance & registration included) is certainly a value for money in a truest sense
to think my mirage still has 2bars of fuel to burn before the fuel gauge blinks at me again

C5 southbound, weekday afternoon. Light to moderate traffic. Best city driving number I got. This one required intense concentration to keep it in the powerband for 5th gear in dense traffic!
