Fast Autoworld do not use 3M tint. Having said that; an extra P6k is a bit stiff, although I have seen the tint they use and it is fine on a few friends of mine's monteros' and stradas' (2008 to 2007)

the unit srp could be affected but the insurance must be standard even with act of god it should be 4-5k less.....

9,000 for rust proof?

...some casa offfered it free some charge it for 3-5k...

Here comes now the VGT and the Montero is hot item again here.

Imagine that the VGT was released commercially by MHI way back in 2003. But other manufacturers/competitors were also among the first to utilize the MHI made VGT while MMC continued to use the existing mass produced conventional turbos and its only now that the 4d56 is fitted with VGT.

After the VGT, the next in line would be the newly developed/innovated 2-stage turbo that promises better torque at low rpm (1000-1250rpm); an over 50percent increase in low-rpm-torque compared to the VGT. Maximum torque is at around 1250rpm while the current VGT is at 2000rpm.

Match the low-rpm-maximum-torque with 4x4 technology, it would then be the real "mountain warrior". But it might be released in 2-3 years time or even later so just enjoy the VGT version for now.

good info you got sir...owner of the previous variant (non vgt) should not regret there are lot of performance chip available than can match the hp rating some promise more than that but the dvd/gps equipped hu is a 1+

Got my Montero yesterday. So far so good! Nice ride and can feel the 178 HP and still seems fuel efficient. GPS navigation is great along with the BT & Ipod connectivity. Only thing, DVDs cannot be played while on Drive or Reverse Mode. It automatically displays "Caution...", only plays on Park mode. Is there a way around this so that the passenger on my side will be able to watch?

Go to your suking audio installer and they can fix that for you. Usually there is a safety feature wherein the dvd hu's wiring is connected to either or both the hand brake and the tranny so that video playback is only allowed while the car is stationary/parked and that the driver is not distracted by the video. Where can I buy floor matting like 3m specifically cut for montero sport? any picture here?

Anyway I was in Cebu last September and got a written quotation on the 4x2 Auto. The inhouse insurance was P35,035 including acts of God.
