Though I understand they have to import it from japan but it shouldnt be that expensive for an entry level compact car. That's more or less 50% more of what a Vios costs. It would be reasonable if it had AWD since mitsubishi has more parts than Subaru pero wala. I was planning on buying this if it costed around 700+k sana. The new Lancer-EX 2.0 GT/GSR lacks AWD, but has more standard features than the Impreza 2.0R like larger 18in alloy wheels, side airbags, Rockford Fosgate stereo system with sub woofer etc.

I don't think its possible, now that sub-compact 1.5 liter cars hit P800K with their top models like the Vios 1.5G with leather seats.

deym ang mahal pala! GT CVT 1.140M! pero comapred to the civic 2.0 s-l ok na if it has the seven (7) airbags, paddle shifters and rf audio pede nah. but I thought it was going to be priced lowered compared to its rival as per TOP GEAR april issue???

wala nga pla display sa Auto show kanina lancer 2.0 models, but the lancer EVO X was there! definitely the crowd drawer!!! KICK ASS looks talaga!! hehehe

The pricing hasn't really changed, you(or your source) just mislabeled the CVT and M/T models before.
If the pricing is accurate, the CVT model is actually P5K lower now.

I personally testdrove the GT kasi sa alabang with CVT and all the features..wala yung GSR that time...I ask then CITIMOTORS bakit mas mahal yung nilabas nilang info about the GSR since i think that time GT was the high-end. Sagot nila di nila alam.

Now CITIMOTORS called me saying na ang GT CVT is 1.140M and the GSR is 1.040M....Anyways...Wala pa naman dito yun..lets wait and see...

But i already bought civic...nainip nako eh.....

The 2008 Lancer EX has been here in Singapore for about 3-4 months now. It really looks awesome. Kala ko eh Lexus nung una. I really thought it was miles ahead of Mazda 3 in terms of styling. Pero after some time, the novelty wears off. Right now, I think it's just on equal footing with Mazda 3 in terms of styling

Well, Honda can probably breathe a sigh of relief for now...Toyota screwed up the new Corolla's styling, and now Mitsu got the styling right but screwed up with pricing. Hope the new 2009 Mazda3 can give Honda a good run for its money.

Got to see the new Altis up close while it was parked next to the old Altis, it actually looks good without it looking alien or too futuristic, they got the proportions right this time. Its lower, wider(it has subtle fender bulges) and has bigger wheels.

In the past week, i've been seeing more 2008 Altises running around, I guess its doing much better than most expected.

and now Mitsu got the styling right but screwed up with pricing. Hope the new 2009 Mazda3 can give Honda a good run for its money.

I'm not sure if we can say Mitsubishi screwed up with pricing.

Saw the new lancer at the MIAS. Looks really nice.
Medyo futuristic na aggressive ang dating nya. Poging-pogi!

The sad part about it is the price. 990+k and above ang price. Baka konti lang bumili nito dahil dyan. Ang positive effect siguro non is kung bumili ka ng new lancer EX, konti lang kaparehas mo hehe.

I hope they release a smaller engine for this if ever. Para mas mura

btw, boy is the new Altis is strong... been seeing about 3 1.8V model a day. Iba talaga ang badge appeal ng Toyota. 1.8V model pa talaga. Which to think is overpriced of the bunch.

Yup, the Lancer should have a longer list of standard features to justify its price. The Toyota isnt offensive but the styling is so anonymous and too much like the old model. And to think they delayed its launch to tackle the FD.

my friend bought an 08 mitsubishi lancer gts for almost $23,000. it has he 2.0 mivec engine cvt transmission with paddle shifting, 6 disc indash changer mp3 with the rockford fosget system, sunroof, 18" wheels and the bluetooth phone connection. it drives pretty fast. i'll post pics when i get one.
