Yes, the Lancer EX has 60/40 rear fold down seats.
I haven't yet heard of a EX overheating. Of course the oldest EX is just 2 years old.
Quite comfy. Great for long distance drives. Downside, smallish trunk.
Typical for a 2.0L ... It can achieve great fuel economy figures when on the open road.
About the same as a Corolla for the tune up stuff.
The torque is relatively flat. As for the power delivery, it would depend if you are getting the M/T or the CVT version. The M/T drives like a typical M/T. If you are getting the CVT, you have to get to the quirk of the CVT way of delivering power as compared to typical A/T. The engine revs to the RPM and stays there while the car increases speed.
The spacious interior would be good for five average adults inside (including driver).
I got the
Lancer EX GLS because of the CVT tranny. The CVT tranny makes it easier to drive in traffic since 99% of the time I drive in Metro Manila anyway.
But I do wish I can get another M/T for the weekends.

Maybe I should just save up for the Hyundai Genesis Coupe?
