The sales of the Lancer EX GT has been discontinued.

So if you still want a GT, you will have to look into the used car market.

Or you can settle for the Lancer EX GLX and upgrade the wheels and body kit yourself.

plain and simple Mitsubishi discontinued to sell the GT model.

The current Lancer EX line up are: GLX, GLS, MX and GTA.

Of the four models, only the GLX has a manual tranny.

Hi everyone. I have a couple of questions. First, what is the current price of the GT-A? From what I've read, the price difference between the MX and the GT-A is not that great, which makes it more enticing to get a GT-A instead. Second, are all the Lancer EXs locally assembled? Lastly, I'm also thinking of getting the Cruze LS, since it's cheaper than a GT-A, while having better interior. (Though I think I already know you guys will vouch for the GT-A. Haha)

    Cheers

Backread this thread for the current price.

The GT-A is still fully imported.

The GLX, GLS and MX are locally assembled which helps lower the cost.

If you pick the Cruze, don't blame us if you can't find aftermarket stuff for it when you plan to upgrade it. And the Cruze LS only has a 1.6L engine versus the 2.0L in the EX.

This morning, I went for a drive along the twisting roads in the hills and mountains of Rizal. This is a more preferred place than a simple straight length of highway for me.

The suspension upgrades really made a day & night difference in the handling feel of the car. The car was perfectly controllable even when there was a left-right-left set of fast curves which shifted the car's weight quickly from side to side. Even on the tighter curves, the car would be perfectly predictable. That's partly from the tires as well.

The unichip tuning removed the flatspot in the power curve of the engine so manually shifting the CVT resulted in great response from the car.

So far no brake fade was felt in today's drive.

The car should be balanced on the brakes, since it's a long car compared to its competitors and you've got a stiffer suspension, it shouldn't be putting so much weight on the front brakes as before.

Too bad we couldn't meet up!

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Across all its variants, the Cruze uses a 1.8li engine.

Price was P48,000. But I got the last kit for the Lancer EX. You will have to check with Speedlab on their next order.

Adjustable ride height and adjustable damping rate. You can make it look stock or slam it to the ground (well, not really... but close to it) or anywhere in-between.

Handling is great (as you can read in my post).

Ride is rather stiff. Takes a bit of getting to used to the new ride.
