Whenever I want to see the forecast for Manila, I use the one for Ninoy International (ICAO: RPLL). Seems like they're not expecting anything severe..... Of course, this would only hold true for the airport and vicinity (Paranaque and Las Pinas).

I figured I'd add these airports. If PAGASA's forecast seems too generic or covers too wide an area, using forecasts for these airports can narrow down the weather to a specific area. The drawback to that is you have to live close to that airport, I'd say no more than 5 miles away.

So for Paranaque and Las Pinas, Ninoy International (RPLL) would give a good approximation of weather for those areas, especially for areas such as BF Homes (Paranaque) which is right next door to the runway/taxiway.

The observations are current conditions and are done every hour as a minimum. The forecasts are done every 8 hours. Technically, a forecast is supposed to cover a full 24-hour time period. But, some simply cover just the 8 hours until the next forecast.

    cyclone, hurricane, typhoon

naming is not based on strength but on the area where it occurs. . .pag sa north atlantic, hurricane ang tawag; pag dito sa area natin, typhoon ang tawag; pag sa indian ocean, cyclone ang tawag

    don't panic too much, cathy

Di ba sabi nga ng Pag-asa, after Ondoy, na mino-monitor nila 3 LPA? Yung una, naging Pepeng (Parma) na, and here comes Melor. Yung isa kaya, nag-evaporate na?
