if he's going to lay down all the wires and pipes etc, okay na yung P9300? Nginatngat daw kasi ng daga yung wiring. 2 days daw niya gagawin. 21 butas lang pala so P6300 but still I find it so steep for 2 days.
Hehe.Last edited by _Cathy_; May 3rd, 2023 at 08:35 PM.

Just get somebody else, kung 2 days at 1k per day ay 2k lang. If I were you, try to haggle 1.5k, usually ung mga ganyan will cut their asking by half or 3k, then you know na sinusubukan nya maka jackpot sa iyo. May ganyan na lumapit sa akin, lilinisin, put bermuda grass and stepping stones sa garden ko for 6k. I told him I'll think about it, in a few minutes he brought it down to 3k, so I got pissed and told him I'll just call him when I decide. Ending I got someone who did it for 2k.

Wala na kami ibang kilala. Nabili na nga mga outlet and switch and wire. Naisip ko hindi ko na ipagawa [emoji35] Ang lumalabas P2625 per day tapos utang na loob pa namin na hindi niya kami sisingilin nung per day niya as worker/carpintero. Balak i on top pa yung P800 per day ata niya.
What do you think is a reasonable rate for those 21 butas?

Kung matapos nya 1 day then good, if not, he will definitely finish it early on the second day. This is much better than pakyaw because he will do the work better to make it longer. Pakyaw kasi gets you a sloppy job on a much higher daily rate.
Carpenter/all around tapos kung may electrical work, special rate?

Sabi niya electrician din daw siya but now I am starting to doubt.
So tama nga yung sabi mo na tawad ng half kasi if I tawad ng P3k, mag bargain pa yun we will end up at P3500 or P4000 pa rin. Ang problema sinimulan na pala kanina yung work e wala naman kami go signal!

May 9th, 2023 02:55 PM #586Who here has a Smart home?
Is it worth it? Or did you get sawa after a few uses? Party trick lang? Or really useful?
What are the things to avoid?
What are the essentials?
And how about future proofing?
Im thinking i need for lights but how hard is it to turn on a switch really?

Too early to future-proof w/ smart systems at their infancy. You'll likely feel like an experiment & AI is coming.[emoji4] Invest in solar instead, sir.

Last 2020, I constructed an annex with garage to my existing house. I used smart switches bought from Lazada for all the lights of the annex.
It's really useful as I can automate which lights will turn on and off at certain times of the day.
I can set zones in the app so I can turn on or off all of the lights in a certain room. And when I am away and I see in the CCTV that certain lights were left On, I can turn them off remotely.Signature

Party trick that will eventually wear off ... are people so lazy that they cannot make effort to turn off a switch? ... then they pay gym membership to exercise? ... If you have extra funds, it's good to have ... but personally, it's another thing to break in the future ... maybe for selected external lights for security it would be useful since you can set schedule ... it's the same with those electronic door locks ... making it easy for hackers to break-in ...
Better to spend on the new generation of LED lights that has just one transformer / adapter ... you have one central unit in your ceiling / roof and the lights are connected via 12V line and not 220V per light + adapter ...

May 10th, 2023 08:09 AM #590Yes I think at most will do like boybi for lighting (exterior) and invest the rest in Solar .
But i wont do those remote controlled curtains, thermostat, etc.
What is a decent cctv system that u can access on your phone without needing static IP?
