May system of check valves na puwede main line or tank+pump ang source. Iyon lang for maintenance kailangan paandarin pump weekly kahit hindi kailangan, para hindi mag stuck up at mag stagnate ang water sa tank.

    Puwede malakas ngayon main line. Pero baka may time of day na mahina.

    Minimun siguro may provision for future install ng tank+pump... space, valves, water lines, electrical breaker switch?

    Maybe provision in the future. But i think bawal in our village water tank. I have to check the construction guidelines.

    Storage tanks need not be overhead(ground or subterranean) if 1 has solar/genset to supply the home booster pump during brown/blackouts.

    I'm not familiar with pumps and tanks.

    we have a ground-level zero-pressure storage tank, that's always open to nawasa water. a float valve automatically closes it when full.
    an electric pump sucks water from this, and drives it into a pressure tank. this enables the water to go up to the third floor.

    Don't use a pump to fill your tank. Mahigop mo pati mga dumi, and babagsak water pressure ng kapitbahay

    Just let water flow naturally into your tank. And lagay ka lang float valve as what Doc did.

    we were advised years ago, that it is illegal to install pumps to higop directly from the nawasa pipe.
    i do not know if this is true or not, but boybi is right: hihigupin nang pump ang dumi nang nawasa pipes.

    Not just that, your neighbor's would've been begging you for water.[emoji16]

    Ah ok. Ganun pala yun.

    Natira kasi kami sa apartment na nasa 4th floor yung tank to supply all the floors. We are on the 1st floor so we don't need the pump.

    TIL, thank you.

    Right, top 2 pipes papuntang bahay.
    Right, bottom pipe galing nawasa source, may check valve.

    20220716_163428.jpg

    On-off switch. Tapos may plug sa pump in case kailangan i-plug sa genset.

    This is correct. Booster pumps are not allowed in our village.. Kawawa the neighbors.

    it's almost lego-easy now, what with those non-metallic pipes to work with.
    back in the day, we had to use lead-type metal pipes. hassle to cut and thread.
    but one advantage of these metal pipes, is that they're very, very sturdy.
    the plastic pipes can leak, when struck out of position... we had one such.

    Ok ang tank na nasa ground level, mas easier to maintain, and with PV/Solar panels getting more affordable, pwede yung pressure pump set up sa PV/Solar.

    Yung overhead tank ko, wala syang pressure pump and tank, enough na yung pressure for a good shower.

    For emergency lang naman purpose. Since malakas pressure ng water provider, may float valve sa tank pero naglagay pa din ako ng gate valve papasok kasi one time nasira float valve, kailangan pa akyatin para palitan hehe. Then same may set up ng gate valve papasok sa house.

    Next house construction, good inputs to have a ground level tank reservoir and pressure pump.

    ^ salamat. Oo nga, next siguro ikabit pump sa solar para libre pressure boost.

    Ay PVC lang, since old setup na. Although bago iyong pump at pressure tank, nag re-align ulit kaunti ng pipes at valves.

    Salamat.

    Ah oo bawal talaga sa mga village at utilities ang direct pump sa main line:

    [main]=>[pump]=>[house]

    Madalas indirect allowed. Nag tanong muna kami sa village sa province bago nagpa install:

    [main]=>[tank]=>[pump]=>[house]
    Tapos naka parallel sa:
    [main] =>[house]

    May mga check valves para walang backflow from 1 source to the other.

    Ah oo doc, GI pipe mas mahirap mag lagare tapos kailangan ng threading tool. PVC madali lang nga. PPR naman kailangan ng heater/jointing/fusing tool. Hindi yata siya basta glue glue.

    PPR heaters are cheap these days ... PPRs are also more flexible and less likely to break when hit ...
