August 29th, 2015 11:30 AM #612Regarding gun as a necessity, before i dont believe normal citizens need it. I dont own a gun. Pero a few months ago, my former colleague got kidnapped, robbed and murdered. The money they took is not really that large, probably not more than 100k in atm. Last week, it happened again to my friend's colleague.
The thing is, this does not happen at a regular basis before. I felt secured before knowing that these things does not really happen within my circle of peers or profession as an IT professional. But now, I don't feel safe.
So yes, legally acquired and registered guns are a necessity in today's society for self defense.

That reminds me. The sheriff's department of my hometown in Nevada (where I keep my guns) called me and asked jokingly when I'm going to pick up my guns.
They've been sitting in the armory there since 2003. I didn't want to leave them at my uncle's house because my nephews might fire them and break them. Or, they may simply disappear.
The wife doesn't want guns at home, period. I'm not worried because we have a quiet neighborhood and everybody else are heavily armed. We also have one cop who lives a few houses down and a cop station a few hundred feet away.Last edited by Jun aka Pekto; September 1st, 2015 at 12:54 AM.

I've only bought one gun in my life: a Savage .22 rifle.
The rest (Remington 12-gauge, .45 mini Desert Eagle, folding Ruger Mini-14) were given by my uncle. It wouldn't look proper if I sold my guns.
Besides, I didn't know my wife was afraid of guns until she actually saw them. Before her, I had my ex-fiancee (Caucasian) back in Oklahoma. She loved V8 cars and she loved guns. If I had married her instead, I'd have an arsenal at home and I'd be driving a Charger R/T.
But, I can't really dwell on what might have been.Last edited by Jun aka Pekto; September 1st, 2015 at 02:35 AM.

October 8th, 2015 04:01 PM #620Noob Questions lang po sa mga Professionals natin..
Hope we see significant changes.
