That's gonna be your call, ma'am. If that area gets wet & has good drainage, pavers will keep it generally clean. Without good drainage, even pavers, w/c allow surface water seepage, could saturate & have some pooling. Lay them with a slope to direct excess rainfall towards the closest catch.

Wala naman drainage in that area. Parang ganito yung side ng fence lupa pa rin kasi I dont wanna kill the bamboos and that's for privacy na rin

Kailangan ba magaling gagawa o pwede kahit sino lang haha. Alam ko kasi pag roofing at masonry dapat expert talaga ang gagawa but this is flooring lang naman

How to prevent grass from growing in between the pavers? I've seen kasi sa iba that grass is growing. Also the soil underneath must be compacted to ensure levelness of the pavers. Meron din ako nakita sa iba na hindi level or "sinking" yung ibang portion. But IMHO this is the best option for Ma'am Cathy's eskinita.

The 'sinking' is caused by water & load. Compaction, slope & drainage are key. Shouldn't be trouble for low human & canine traffic like ma'am Cathy's app. The weed problem...deweeder's an answer...

    Thanks for the reply Travs.

For ma'am Cathy's benefit you can check landscaping shop meron na silang ready made pavers. Pwede na din sila ang mag install para less hassle sayo.

Tama ba na wala na yung Manila Seedling sa EDSA and it transferred in Quezon Circle? May parking ba there? I used to go to Manila Seedling regularly to buy flowers (malas plastic flowers!) Madali lang puntahan kasi along EDSA lang at mas mura kasi than when they sell it in Makati or BGC Baka mas madali na pumunta with the Skyway 3?

Na estimate na ko, ang liit liit ng papagawa ko (portion lang ng eskanita na nilagyan ko ng gate) P36k, hindi pa sagad yun kasi yung side lupa pa rin kasi may plants na nakatanim

Sabi ng contractor ko (well that was 6 yrs ago) mas mura nga pavers than having it cement and tiles, paano pa kaya presyo ng cement?

I can't do that naman No tools and knowledge. The labor is okay, P7k, it's the bricks that are expensive

What's the area (square meters)? One square meter will need 50 pcs of brick stone. One brick is around 10pesos as per ads in carousel (probably more), you can do the math if 36k is reasonable.

i've noticed there's really a shortage of insects w/c pollinize flowers and vegetable plants. and daming hindi nag mature na pipino na alaga ko kasi walang honey bees or butterflies umaligid sa garden namin.

i guess it's true what i've been reading pala

^ wag naman sana but yeah, experts say if this alarming trend continues, then food supply would be critically low. No pollinators to complete the plant cycle would be disastrous for mankind.

I remember when i was a kid, whenever i was outdoors and drinking those sugary stuff like colas & juice drinks, bees would flock to them in a snap. Nowadays, it's only the flies w/c do that.

do what you gotta do so you can do what you wanna do

if the pipinoes appear, then the flowers are being pollinated enough.
why they do not mature, is something else.

pwede but kasi doc there are 2 kinds of flowers for the pipino plant. one is the male - w/c is a pure flower, and the female - w/c has an immature pipino (ovary) behind the flower petals. if the immature pipinos don't develop and just wither out, that means there are little to no pollinators buzzing around. that's why i started resorting to hand pollination w/ a cotton bud. mano- mano na kung baga.

interesting nga din kasi the male flowers pala are the 1st to bloom a week or 2 before the female flowers in order to attract insects and signify the plant will be ready for business soon. nakakatuwa din subaybayan eh.
