    Shell Graduate Program (~50k)
Nestle Corporate Management Trainee Program (~45k)
    Unilever Future Leaders Program (~60k)
P&G (wala silang MT program pero starting nila 52k for PH-based and much higher pag SG)
HSBC (forgot the name of their program but starting is ~65k)
    Kraft Graduate Trainee Program (~48k)
    GSK (~42k)
    L'Oreal MT program (~40k)

Plus yung benefits pa depending on the exact role given to you (car, fuel and housing allowance, etc etc).

Most of them promise na nasa 80-100k ka na in 3 years if you graduate from the program. Pero yung iba diyan sobrang madugo, parang hunger games matatanggal ka talaga.

So hindi rin enough na maganda credentials mo dapat mapatunayan mo rin na ok ka or else you get kicked out of the program.

For every one success story, how many stories of underemployment/unemployment/poverty do we have?

Here's an inspiring story I stumbled upon - a street kid works his way towards a scholarship in Germany.

From sleeping in slums to a scholarship in Germany

Eto yung sinasabi niyong, "nasa tao yan". All circumstances were against him - poverty, broken family, public education - but he was able to rise above these.

Caveat though, this is again an exception to the rule. For every Daniel Dejapin, there are millions of street children who succumb to their circumstances and fail to rise out of poverty. Their difference? Daniel's unwavering commitment to education, and admittedly a fair bit of luck in finding a caring NGO.

Honors course is a successful marketing of the ADMU... I have not heard any equivalent course in any other school, right?

I just remembered, we hired a university scholar and an engineering board passer recently. Our initial metrics showed she may not be a good fit for the position but we tried anyway, banking on her credentials. She was a graduate of a university north of MM... Sadly, she did not make it even if the staff devoted time to mentor her... If she could just retain the knowledge in a couple of tries she should have been okay, but she could not and her communication skills were severely wanting...

Companies want their new hires to hit the ground running... In this case, she just could not cope up....

Salamat bro. Though I must say, you're more impressive since you've made the most of your Lasallian education and have gotten very far in your career. 👍

It does matter and it matters a LOT... For big multinationals, it is the 1st screening criteria that they utilize. This is a fact that could not be ignored. If one is a graduate of a top 3 school with honors, that person is almost always assured of a good paying job right after college.same thing could not be said if one graduated from a tier 3 school. This is not unique in the Philippines. Law graduates of the top 20 Law Schools in the US are almost assured of an entry level associate jobs topping $120,000 in annual salary.

I handle hiring/promoting of supervisors and managers in our family business. We are not yet big enough to attract graduates of the top 3 schools but I do noticed that graduates from NCR schools are better when it comes to analytical, communication and presentation skills. Part of my requirement is for an interviewee to explain and analyze sales and inventory data. I'm a graduate of DLSU Manila and hopefully in the near future our family business would be big enough to attract DLSU grads and graduates of the 2 other big schools.

magaling at masipag mag-aral, nakatapos. suma cumlaude ata?

they're not only after pay they're after prestige

kaya they don't apply at Mang Bhoy Enterprises

syempre pag tinanong sila "where do you work?" cool ang sagot na "Shell" or "Unilever"
