this "problem" can also be experienced with the phaseout ibooks. if it does happen to you try a Non-acetone nail polish remover on the yellowing part. for the years i've owned an ibook never had a colorizing problem... just normal wear & tear lang.

mind you these reports are mostly coming from countries that arent known for taking daily baths. baka libag lang nila yun.

hahahaha really! actually I do suspect na madudumi nga gumamit yun mga yun. kadiri din no, kulay orange hehehe, hindi man lang grayish or blackish. anong klase katawan meron yun mga yun?

yun lang sana hindi heat problem ang cause as the article says. coz I might opt for the black one kahit d ko type yun color and mas mahal pa yun.

btw, pre d na kita nareply-an sa PM. thanks nga pala sa mga tulong mo. you've been very helpful! I do have additional questions . yesterday, I tinkered with the intel mac desktop on display sa glorietta. I noticed that the MS Office for Mac has ninety day expiration (or 30 days ata, cant remember). yun ba sa Macbook ganun din? or for free na yun MS office for Mac?

and my last questions bro, ok ba yun internet browser client ng Mac OS X Tiger? or do I only get to view websites that are Mac-supported? how about windows active-x websites? kaya ba nya i-view?

The "heat problem" is "normal" among Intel Core-based notebooks and will shutdown before anything bad happens . I think Apple's implemented a firmware whose priority is battery life, performance per watt & notebook silence vs constant heat sink fan operation. I'm using a Macbook Pro now and it is indeed very hot as compared to my iBook but it doesnt really bother me unless I place it on my lap.

This is just me but a black Macbook is a fashionista thing & the hilarious bit is Apple will eventually price it the same with the white models. Blacks medyo baduy too if you think about it. All the other laptops are black.

MS Office bundled is a Trial 30 days so you have to grab a retail copy for uses beyond 30 days. PM me where to get a copy.

Merong MS Internet Explorer ang Mac. YOu only need to download it. I use Firefox for my Macs & PCs. I use Mac's native browser called Safari when i want to impress but I find it not as robust as Firefox.

If you dont like the MacOS you can install Windows XP sa Macbooks but you'll still experience the headaches like viruses, malware, worms, trojans, etc. I have a PC for downloading files, gaming and let Windows-only friends use.

If you value your time get a Mac. ;)

yung office test drive yung mga naka-install .. that's only good for 30 days .. you have to purchase ms office seperately .. web browser is safari .. microsoft has stopped making IE for mac so old versions nalang ng IE ang meron .. but you can install firefox or netscape ..

That's true, it took about a month for my older iBook's logic board to arrive from singapore but...

... Apple fixed my out of warranty iBook for free even if the warranty expired 2 years ago.

Well worth the wait in my opinion.

Then again I didnt follow it up matagal talaga yun & how often does Macs breakdown?

I do value my time a lot these days that's why I'm opting for a Mac na talaga. in fact I'm not a bit enthusiastic about Windows Vista and that so-called better than JPEG file format (more compressed photo file) that Mr. Chairman himself is boasting of, these past few days. and lalo na pag ni-release yan Vista, maging guinea pig na naman tayo lahat.

computers are tools to make the job done at the shortest possible time and to improve your productivity. just like cars to take you from A to B but of course, without worries!

nowadays, the problem of our productivity is not the lack of it (lack of info and resources) but the diversity of it. we spend more time filtering on upgrades, new products, new releases, new age info, new technologies etc. only to find out that what we have learned has no relevance in our lives and even in our competitiveness . my mind is filled up with Mhz, ghz, SP1 version, SP2 version, DDR, DDR2. although Macs have the same upgrade characteristics as the PC, the security factor is just too overwhelming for Windows.

that's why I even stopped buying symbian phones since 2 years ago pa hehehe. I just use a simple call & text phone na lang. I even disposed my Ipod video and settled for the Nano. I do find converting/compressing video files to ipod video format too time consuming and useless. and now I'm venturing on " the PC switch to Mac and never look back idea hehehe"

btw, magkano pala yun MS office for Mac retail?

I dont know how much MS Office cost but if you can get the Student/Teacher edition which is cheaper than retail & allows for multiple legal installs (per EULA). Email my suki for the MS Office 2004 Student/Teacher Edition price. My suki's is very trusted among local Mac users & he can even bring in car parts for you too.

My only suggestion when you get your Macbook is to get 2x 512MB or 2x 1GB RAM for your Macbook. The 2x 256MB RAM stock in all Macbook's is a bit limiting IMO especially as it is shared with the video card.

at $399-$499 .. medyo mahal yung office .. a friend of mine got it for free though when he bought his ibook .. tinanong sa kanya kung ano gusto niya ipa-install and he got toast and office for free .. pero of course hindi kasama yung install discs .. so kung mag-crash .. wala na rin yung mga na-install niya ..

pwede syang gumawa ng image nung hard disk nya para mag mag crash yun lang gagamitin nya. Yung dell laptop ko walang kasamang XP installer eh, kaya image disk lang ang meron ako.

    From my professional standpoint.

Medyo mas mabilis ang IBM compare to apple.

Saka mas mataas ang percentage nya na sira kesa sa IBM.

iisa lang kasi ang theme ng design ng ibm eh, pero i think since lenovo took over medyo nag iba ng ang itsura ng ibm laptops, parang medyo nagiging trendy na.

I'm guessing you worked for the former distributor for Apple Computers? The new Macs coming out are outsourced from the same OEM of Dell, Lenovo, Asus, HP, Compaq, IBM, etc. Seeming the logicboard are designed by Intel & using Intel Cores (Apple does external design) it shouldn't be as sirain as before.
