Eh siguro kasi diesel ang FX tapos yung Expe eh gas and harurot sa tubig. Ayun! Pasok sa intake or basa splugs.

if u have higher rpm but in the 1st gear, u won't go faster, just the revs go higher, sa AT naman, shift to the lowest gear so u can maintain hi rpm so the engine won't die if water goes in.

sakin naman i wont even venture out pag baha na..am radio lang katapat nyan kung saan ang flooded areas..kung emergency naman like going to hospitals or fetching somebody at transport terminals..our area is not flood prone to the nearest hospital..i can ask those in terminals to either wait for me at the right time dahil nga baha or find other mode of transport..

when this time came i do this:

on my delica: my limit is up to the lower part of the side moulding...which is roughly waist height!my delica is AT, so i switch to L and 4L so i can rev high and trek slow on water while minimizing my pressure on the brakes..

on my pride: my limit is still below the side mouldings...which is roughly knee-deep..my pride is AT so to go slow and rev high i select 1, while reviing, my left foot does the brakes...

on my maxima:same as my pride, knee-deep limit..but it is MT..so to be slow and rev high, i go 1st gear, and do 1/4-1/2 clutch release...my right foot is placed 50-50 on the brakes and the gas pedal...

pero lumulusong ko after observing the persons/cars that are trekking the water...

Anything below the knee is fair game. Kung medyo lampas na, isip muna sandali.

Deepest I've gone is submerged the whole lower tone. Almost waist deep na din yun. I'm not daring to go any deeper at the moment.

Last Saturday bumaha na naman sa tapat ng Auto Trend and BK sa Timog. I and an ex-JDM Terrano made it across with no problem. Though umiilaw na yung alternator indicator ko while crossing (it lights up when my alternator goes under water). The warning came off soon as I came out the other side.

To cross or not to cross? No time to think. Cong Marni is already shouting at me at the top of his lungs to quit stalling and get going! hehehe.

cross!!! hehehe. basta hindi aabot sa intake. and basta drive SLOWLY but surely, hesitation will cause problems.

sarap feeling ng water crossing, not necessarily at stupid speeds kasi that'll cause accidents. pero deym, i need new tires. i feel i'm doing water crossings on slicks now.
