A minor pms price apprx.
P6,249.42- MGH - 70T km PMS
----Labor PMS Php 1,300.00
----Parts Washer 33.73
----Spark plug 1,191.72
----Plug, drain 180.61
----Helix ultra 2,885.00
----Cartridg, oil filter 438.36
----3M brake cleaner 220.00
For 20k kms pms, you'd probably add the AC and Engine filters, possible rear brake pads... and if you add the very optional Wins Combustion cleaning process, you'll reach 12k+ or more.
The quote from Mazda Makati for a 60k kms pms (a major one) was
P13,265.25 - Mazda Makati - 60 T km PMS (change oil/aircon filter)
Petron Car Care Center * Ortigas could be an alternative PMS service center for you.
Speedlab * QC Avenue also can do PMS service for our Mazda3
thanks bravoexo
but would mazda void my cars warranty if serviced in petron or speedlab?
i read somewhere that you only need to replace spark plugs when you reach 40t km? for the brake pads i think it needs to be replace because it started to squeak every time i step on the brake?
mga sir.... paging mazda 3 2.0 owners.... I have a set of CAI for the 2.0 that I would like to sell slightly used ... I bought it from speed lab .... willing to sell it for 8k..... pls. text or call me if interested... 0917 628 6688
i read an article in yahoo that car manufacturers can not void your cars warranty as long as you have proof that you had your car serviced/maintained and followed the manufacturer's recommended service schedule. article said to keep the receipt as a proof indicating the cars mileage, parts and fluids you bought. im not sure if this applies here in the phils as well, i cant see any reason why it wouldn't.
btw, i can't find the article anymore but there similar all over the net. there are also articles that says the complete opposite.![]()

Casa has their own records... and they would know that you haven't done this PMS schedule (even though you've had it done elsewhere)...
Technically, nothing should be wrong if you're having the PMS done... right? so what other warranty are you worried about? You knew the risks going to somewhere else for PMS right? Warranty on suspension stuff wouldn't be voided (then again, they'll tell you they're not covered either ha ha)..
For peace of mind, keep the PMS in CASA. Just don't take in all the stuff they recommend be done to your car, like that Wynns combustion cleaning thing....
I still keep my PMS w/ the CASA but they don't anymore touch my brakes, suspension, engine intake filter... but everything else is with them... (oil, oil filter, atx fluid, brake fluid, coolant, Aircon filter...etc)
I hope someone can answer this...
Im schedule for 20K PMS. I bought my MZ3 in Mazda Alabang. The 10K PMS was done by casa in Alabang.
For the 20K PMS due to cost differences between casa, im looking the possibility to have it done by other CASA, Makati or Greenhills perhaps.
Now, is there an issue availing the PMS from other casa? warranty issue perhaps? What are the requirements or documents needed? Do I need to inform my original casa?
Any suggestion for good casa with good service at reasonable cost for 20K PMS?
Appreciate your feedback.. Thanks!
nagbibigay ba kayo ng tip sa nag assist sa into inside the casa? para kasing may hinihintay sya nung paaslis na ako eh. ^^
nagbibigay ako for courtesy, how much will depend on how the service was
I have my car maintained by speedlab - gusto ko kasi ako pipili ng oil
other things by the CASA - like aircon filter and the usual checks para may record na din (antayin mo kulitin ka, usually magbibigay ng discount)
small things done by a competent service center near my area (binabantayan ko lang mabuti) - things like rotor reface (mahal kay speedlab hehehe)
good day guys, my name is amir first of all I just want to share that I really really love the Mazda 3 !!!
well, the reason I'm here in this forum (just registered 10mins ago) because I need some help deciding on a car to buy (second hand 2005 possibly hatchback, di abot ang bnew eh T_T) . I come from a family na walang nag-ddrive, the car we are looking forward to buy will be the first family car, (btw 5members sa family, 4 adults) my father doesn't know to drive as well as my mom so being the eldest child I'm left with the responsibility to pick and choose the car we will buy (kumbaga - nangangapa kami) . I've been given a 350-400k budget for this car. fact is I'm trembling with the pressure of picking the right car.
I really love the mazda 3, I'd go ahead and buy it right now, but I'm thinking of other things as well like the FC (fuel consumption) parts/maintenance on the long run, and also an issue for the family is size, they're thinking a bigger car (adventure/revo).
I spoke to my "tito" and he said he really loves his mazda 3, it's VERY spacious, his very happy with the FC, and he did not mention any problems regarding maintenance (I've been told mazda has more expensive parts because there are fewer suppliers here in phils compared to other brands - toyota/honda).
right now I'm asking for your help if you think I should get a mazda 3 or another car instead (a ford focus 2005 2.0L is around the same price) there's always the city's and civics. do you think that the mazda 3 would be well suited for a first time driver? I've read that while the FC is not "matipid" it's not malakas sa gas either??? also how are you guys coping up with buying parts?? are they really that expensive??
and off topic - if I should not get a mazda 3 what would be a nice replacement instead???
thanks tsikot ph :D
Malakas sa gas yung Mazda 3 because of its relatively heavier body paired with its underpowered engine.
It will seat 5, though I'm not sure how it compares to the other cars in its category. It will drive better than an adventure/revo though.
Also heard that early release 3s had some suspension problems. Much better din to acquire a 3 with complete maintenance records because a poorly maintained A/T = expensive to repair.
My take - if you'd like to look at sedans then maybe you'd like to look for a same year Altis E or up to compare the 3 with. Else, you may want to look at 2nd hand Innovas.
Yeah an Innova is incredibly boring but as a first car and for a large family, it is a better choice than the Mazda 3.
High ground clearance and jeepney technology suspension means it's well-suited for the bad Philippine roads, plus the parts are cheap. And Toyota is quite reliable.
I don't know if this is a true story or not. On my 2007 Mazda 3 the shocks got busted at 20,000 km. They are NOT warranty items (Mazda considers them wear-and-tear) so had to replace them on my dime. The guy at Speedyfix (I did not have Mazda repair it kasi ubod ng mahal sa casa and hindi naman siya warranty item anyway) told me that Toyota warranties their suspension (i.e. kung masira shocks mo papalitan ni Toyota if within warranty).
That definitely tells you something about Mazda suspensions..
Our Mazda 3 is now at 33,000 km and needs new shocks (again). But I hardly ever drive it anymore (out of the country). Am now driving a (used) Mazda 6.. guess what, it needs new shocks :-P
and malakas sa gas ang Mazda 3. 6.9km/L Makati-Taguig every day, 10km each way.
Phased out na yung current Mazda3's here... no more being produced or at the very least limited production. The 2012 Mazda3 is the one that'll be coming in next year. So the 2nd hand market for mazda3's could boom.
thanks po for the many opinions, how would the mazda 3 po compare with the ford focus??? both 2005 po kunyari :D
The European Focus (which is what we have in PH) and the Mazda3 are both used on the Ford/Volvo C1 global platform (along with the Volvo S40). The Focus also uses the same MZR-Z6 engine as the Mazda3, for the 1.6L.
In other words, aside from the skin and some suspension tuning changes they are pretty much the same car. But.. you can buy the Focus in manual transmission version, and the older ones have some goodies the Mazda lacks (rear aircon vents for example). It is Euro-style though (headlight switch on the dash rather than a stick on the steering wheel, weird position of the reverse gear on the manual transmission).
