    Last two measurements.
    Pure city: 9.8kms/liter
    Mixed: 10.3kms/liter

What I think happened why I got such good figures as compared before is ngayon lang lumuwag ung mazda3. Parang matagal lang sya ibreak-in kaya parang malakas sa gas dati. But now that I've reached 7k on the odometer, I think the numbers are decent enough. I cant ask for more than this on a car of this class.

    Final thoughts
Well, I have had the car now for close to 5months and here is my final though regarding it.

I was looking at the wrong things.
The thing that made me hate the car was the FC. It was doing just 8.8kms/liter for me. Look, I love having a car but I love having money in my wallet more. It got so bad, I almost ended up trading it for something like a Vios.

However, One day I just decided to accept things as they are and little by little I came to appreciate the car for what it can give me. The handlings great, the cars loaded in features, and oh, did I mention the activematic? Once I learned how to use this, I couldnt wait to drive the car. Seriously, I would sleep at night happy because I know Im gonna drive the car again in the morning.

It like I dated this superhot girl. She have a great body, a great face, and great everything, but I expected her to eat at macdonalds when all she wanted was have a great time on a bar. She was begging me to have great time with her, but I was too miserly to. We had tension because our expectation with each other is so far apart.

But once I learned to accept things, I now appreciate her for what she truly is. She was made to be driven hard and fast not to be kept around on some corner in order to pinch pennies.

    Enter the activematic
Btw, did I mention that you can safely drive up to 100kms/hour in 2nd gear? Yes, really. What this means is you can downshift from 4th to 2nd virtually anytime anywhere; and using activematic, thats exactly what Im doing.

That burst of speed I get when I downshift to 3rd gear, and then downshifting again to 2nd gear again is so.. so.. sweet. Seriously, when I go "zoom", and then "zoom" again, I feel this burst of joy I cant explain.

Coupled with great handling, overtaking trucks on the winding roads of antipolo never felt this good.

So yeah, I love the car again. I dont think Im gonna sell it now or if at all. I'm even planning on fitting it with a unichip, some cai, etc. 3 years from now. God permit Im still alive by that time eh.

Well anyway, just my conclusion about all of this. Too bad the current mz3 generation is ending. But I feel the MZ3 is still a great car.

    Really I do.

    -peace-

Watta Mazda 3 poetry! Excellent comment! Though I'm not still satisfied with my M3
Pure City FC figures ranging from 6 km/L(super traffic) to 10km/L(sunday driving)
, I still love this car! It's because of the driving pleasure it gives me always.
I seldom use my M3, odo reading still at about 4500km for the last 10 months.

Huwattt? 4500 lang 10 months na? hehehe... Baba ah.

Basta no more than 2K rpm shift at pag HW. 60-80Kph lang.

Tipid talaga.

keep it under 2k RPM para tipid sa gas..

wag mag sakay more than the capacity of the car reason? madaling masisira shocks mo..mahal ang shocks ng mazda 3..

thanks sir.. noted ang tips nyo

e sir kung i-neutral mode or park mode kapag traffic, malakas parin kaya kumunsumo?

badtrip nga kami kahapon dun sa agent eh.. kasi hindi man lang kami inabisuhan na wala pa pala yung side skirt at spoiler, tapos pinapunta na kami agad sa casa para kuhanin yung M3.. sana man lang tinawagan muna kami para ipaalam na wala pa yung accesories, then it's up to us kung gusto na ba namin kunin yung M3 kahit wala pa yung accesories o hihintayin nalang namin dumating yung accesories at ikabit bago namin kunin.. e hindi ganon, siya na agad nagdecide.. pinakuha na and then to follow nalang..balik daw kami sa casa pag dumating yung accesories tapos kakabit nila.. sinabon tuloy siya ng parents ko ng di oras dun sa casa..

    Mga sirs, question lang po...

Ano headight po ang gamit ng Mazda3? Hiwalay po ba ang high and low beam? Yun 2010 Mazda kahit, basing on the picture, parang iisa lang ang projector nung headlight.

    Please enlighten me...

    HELP PO!

I have to change the battery of my 2005 Mazda3 1.6V na.
What's the best type/brand of battery should I buy?
I also need an Owner's Manual for my car (misplaced it). Anybody know where I could get one?

Thanks :D

Note: This post will probably be biased FOR the civic (love your own), but here goes:

Mazda3 (in relation with the civic, since ito pinili mo)
+ Rarer than the civic (sobrang dami nang civic)
    + Cheaper
    + Good handling, stable
    + Activematic
+ Lots of haggle room with dealers

    - Old design na maraming maraming facelift (still a sporty design though)
    - 4 speed AT coupled with an engine that's probably too weak for its weight (result: mas malakas sa gas for 'normal' acceleration)
    - 2009 civic "s" variant with paddle shifters
    - 2010 Mazda3 lurking around the corner (released na sa ibang bansa). Civic currently in midlife cycle (due to be refreshed in 2011-2012)
    - Available in automatic only (some people consider this a plus, but it's a minus for those who want an MT)

    Hope this helps

Kidding aside, I'd still say that wherever the deal is cheaper, there you should go.

You still shouldn't have committed to branch #1 though. Once you commit kasi without haggling or checking out other dealers (esp if you pay a sizeable, non-refundable reservation fee), you're pretty much at the mercy of the sales exec na.

    Just a thought.

Kaya lesson is don't rely on offer from 1 branch only, may 4 branches naman dito sa MM like Alabang, GreenHills, Makati and QA na pwedeng mong i-check kung sino ang may best offer sa kanila. Anyway, makukuha mo pa rin dapat yung reservation fee mo sa 2nd branch since refundable naman to.

Congrats to your new Mazda 3! Enjoy Zoom Zoom driving!

If I were Mazda PH I'd just have a uniform dealership pricing arrangement that is acceptable to all branches and just divide the market by area scoping... they're killing their own business by competing head on with each other.

so kung hindi mo problem ang gas hehehe just enjoy the ride...kase its very very worth it...we have 3 cars..at mazda 3 lang talaga ang na eexcite ako imaneho...

One way I know of is checking the manufacture date of the tires.

Checked mine on my (2) civics, and these were made the month I got my car (mahaba pila nun).

I'd suppose that for old stock cars *BAKA* old tires na rin, but you can never really be sure - malay mo old stock tapos nilalagyan ng bagong tires.

Manufacturers DO put a date of manufacture somewhere on the car though or on the SN. Depends na per car/manufacturer.
