Dipende Bro kung saan mo gagamitin yung data na makukuha mo, gagamitin mo ba sa thesis, or out of curiosity?
Then, its up to you kung gaano accurate na data ang gusto mong makuha.

Once the conditions are the same, the trip meter & manual calculation are the same with 2-5% error based on my study.

But remember, we cannot fulfill a perfect conditions for both manual & gauge reading becase of the imperfections between fuel pump, distance travelled, manner of refuelling (sagad ba o automatic), different observers, & we are talking different gauges here!

Very sure on my car & to my observation Bro!

Bakit di mo obserbahan ang FC meter bago i-off ang engine, & right after na mai-start for a duration of whole night.
For me, its true to my FC meter!

Seriously, do the full tank to full tank test only and don't rely on the meter until you've figured out how inaccurate it is. It will always be 5-25% off. Find out the range of inaccuracy (meters vary in inaccuracy between fills by just a few percent) so you can more easily estimate consumption without having to fill up all the way again.

Depends entirely on the specific car. In my experience, the spread amongst cars is very, veeeery wide. Worst are 20-25% off. Best are just 5% off. But all are off, one way or the other.

curiosity lang ... to know the average FC ko (hindi pa kasi ako nag-reset ever)

sa auto ko hindi sya nag-reset pag nag engine off/on; though na notice ko nga na after refueling, tataas yung FC then eventually babalik sa average

3x na long trip lang bro ok na yun, same condition, & same standard.
Pag refuel(full tank) mo, reset the FC gauge, record the odo or reset the trip meter (km). Then, right before refuel get the FC reading before turning off the engine, record the distance travelled, refuel (full tank), & record the fuel consumed.
Good to go na, compute & compare the gauge reading & the manual calculation.

Possible, kung hindi nagre-reset yung FC meter mo, accumulation of trips yung reading mo palagi.

Naka-ASX ka diba? You can't assume that it works the same for a CX-5. Medyo misleading yung previous post mo.

Yun din ang understanding ko ... im satisfied to know my combined long term average FC

Well, if we are fond of formulas and equations (pasensya na engineer kasi ako ), there is a way to know the specific FC for a particular trip only

    masyadong OT na yata eto
