July 25th, 2012 04:49 PM #333let's just say di kasing dami tulad ng CRV....
kailangan two things for it to sell better.
** reduce price: dba lumakas naman peso lately? by around 150K or more....
** improve feature content: dagdag i-Stop, Leather seating, bi-xenon HID lights..
(make 19" wheel/tire combo optional)....

Hey, feedback from owners... anyone do long highway trips yet?
Will only have the CX5 for two days, and so far, signs are good. On my ultra-short moderate traffic school trip, economy is around 7-8 km/l with the CX5 MT. That's actually similar to modern 1.3 ATs and 1.6 MTs. on the same route. Highway economy looks like it could break 20 km/l on the right day with no traffic. I'm itching to find out if it's possible, but I won't have it over a weekend to test.

I think that's possible because i got an average FC of 17.5km/L when we get back here in Pangasinan from Marikina. That was last Sunday. Got it fueled full tank (that's 56 liters) from our place in Marikina with Petron Blaze. Load at the trunk is around 90 kilos with my wife as the only passenger. From Marikina to Mindanao Avenue the traffic is light and average speed is 60kph. At NLEX/SCETEX, my average speed is 110kph, that's due to heavy rain at some area of the expressway. My fuel gauge upon arrival here in Pangasinan is 3/4 full. The distance travelled is 245km from Marikina to Pangasinan. So, if you do the math and assuming that I consumed 14 liters for the distance travelled of 245km, that's 17.5km/L. Very nice FC considering I only get an average of 12km/L from my previous ASX. Not bad

My assumption was if I have a 56 liters (full tank), and upon arriving at the destination it's 3/4 full tank (actually it's a bit more than 3/4 full), so that means I have only consumed an assumed 14 liters for the total distance of 245 kilometrs travelled 56liters/4=14liters consumed, 245km total distance travelled/14liters total fuel consumed=17.5km/liter. I did not refill yet until now as the only place where there is a Petron Blaze gasoline station is at Dagupan while am based here in Sual and that's a distance of 52km one way. I'll check actual once I have it refueled and will just consider the additional 52km in my computation later.

Unless you're very familiar already with the calibration of your gauge, it's hard to tell. Better to double check on fill-up.
This way, you can also calibrate your economy meter... check how far off it is (typically 3-8% off).
