    it looks good, it drives like a dream (except for a bit of a firm ride and road noise, but enthusiasts wont care :p ) , it still looks superb to this day which means it will look good forever. It's loaded and it will make you young again.

    So yes, I do think it's still a good buy. In fact more so now that Mazda will probably be willing to give big discounts on it.

    One other option you can consider is the Subaru Legacy sedan. Same dimensions as the Mazda 6, similar engine output although this is a flat-4, but all wheel drive. Motorimage is also giving them away at P1.38M.

    We have a lot of Mazda 6 enthusiasts here in our area. All have V6's, though. I've seen a couple of MazdaSpeed 6's sans rear spoilers; probably trying to masquerade as regular 4-cyl versions . Of course, the twin exhausts give them away. But, I've yet to see a regular 4-cyl version in any numbers. I've seen 1 in the whole city in almost 2 years.

    I remember mentioning this to someone at the Mazda dealer which is a 20 second walk from our Hyundai dealer. He said that most preferred the V6 because of the refined feel of the engine. The MazdaSpeed 6 is much quicker car and has AWD. But most Mazda 6 owners still preferred the V6. To them, a 4-cyl car may be the fastest car on the planet. But, it's still a 4-cyl which lacks the smoothness and refinement of a V6. Many would rather have the latter.

    As one considering a Mazda 6, you'll probably like here because of the large numbers of Mazda 6 owners. They've increased a bunch during the last year.

    Add: If it was my choice alone, I too would've bought a M/T V6 Mazda 6 instead of the Sonata.

    The local Legacy is slower... and it's cramped. Both thanks to the added weight and drag of the AWD system. The only real advantage is the traction advantage it gives in inclement weather.

    The Mazda6 has more steering feel and nearly the same poise as the Legacy in cornering at 8/10ths driving.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

    i was able to test drive the 2.3L 6 last friday, tahimik un engine kahit na i revved it to almost 7k before upshifting. the engine really loves to rev. brakes are great too. pero napansin ko na medyo malakas yun wind noise when traveling around 100kph. ive also read from reviews abroad na ganun daw yun problem. but overall, its a very fun drive, steering is tight, grip from the re050 is nice too. brilliant carbon gray mica is teh bomb. angas ng dating!

    Glad you liked it. It's a very bumpy car compared to other mid-sized sedans in its league. (Camry, Accord, etc.) I upgraded to 18-inch wheels and the ride actually improved!! Probably because I changed to softer Nitto Neogen tires (215/40R18). The OEM Bridgestones are REALLY hard tires.

    10,000KM tune-up done today! Just to inform Mazda6 owners out there, the dealerships tell us to have the 6 come in for service every 10,000 kilometers. I decided to bring it in already at just 5,000KM (after around 9 months of use). Your first oil change is FREE!

    Since this is my second oil change, here's the break down of the expenses...

    MOTUL oil from AutoPlus:
    H-Tech 100 SAE 10W-40 * 430 pesos per liter = 2150 pesos for 5 liters

    Mazda Makati:
    Labor = 480 pesos
    Oil Filter = 294.64 pesos
    Air Filter = 1231.00 pesos
    Rags/Gloves = 20.51 pesos
    Brake Cleaner = 245.54 pesos
    VAT = 272.60 pesos

    This car is NOT cheap if you have the casa do all the work........ but thankfully, my next oil change would be * 20,000KM. Roughly one and a half years from now if I use it as frequent as present.

    we are almost sure na we're gonna get the 6 but as july is fast approaching... nagdadalawang isip kami to hold back baka bumaba pa yun price (currently the promo is 100k off 1.395m)... or should we get it now ? hanggang june na lang daw un promo.

    hmm kapitan, kung ganun sayang din un 100k , ksi nakita ko na un updated version sa states and ang iba lang ata un rims and some bits here and there. we'd rather get the current model and save a 100k pero ang iniisip ko lang is kung baka 150k less na nxt month instead of 100k lang with the same model.
