Driving is smooth on my M3R on paved asphalt roads. No road noise at all. However, it's totally different on cemented or rough roads - quite noisy actually! My family notices it all the time. Sometimes, the road noise is unbearable so we just turn the music volume up. The R18 wheels and dunlop tires look good but are no help to road noise suppression. My opinion only.

    I totally agree.

It would have been visually better if I didn't opt for the studs underneath... it created an unintentional design on the surface. If hubby allows, I would get a new one without the studs [emoji16]

I still prefer the vinyl ones even if the rubber ones are functionally better [emoji4]

Hi, Mr. P [emoji4] long time.

If I recall the exact price right, it's 1,199.75... no plasticky smell. Maybe when they were new..? But I wipe Microtex SunShield on them, so they smell really clean whenever I enter the car.
That’s great indeed. Let me check it at Hnadyman. Been more than 2 months and the M3 has no proper matting yet[emoji51].

Yeah, been a long time. Nice to hear from you again. [emoji4]

I think the road noise is due to R18 wheels and tires. I have the same problem with another sedan with 15" wheels with stock Continental tires. Replacing the stock tires with Yokohama tires reduced the road noise.

Replacing the stock Dunlop tires with better ones might help reduce the road noise. That's something I plan to do when it's time to replace the tires.

Agree. Tires vary in road noise, wet/dry grip, brake distance, treadwear, durability, FC, comfort, speed/load rating....& price.[emoji4]

Wait, so Dunlops are really no good? Had them on my old Subie but one of the sidewalls blew a hole. After a few months, the other tire blew up at SLEX. Now I'm kinda wary of Dunlops.

I have used Dunlop tires since 2000. The only issue I encountered was a flat tire due to punctures, nothing major like what you have experienced. They're quite durable at least based on my anecdotal experience with the cars I have used.

Tires blowout can potentially happen to any brands. Various factors can cause these like severe potholes, incorrect tire pressure, unlucky factory defect.

Very informative. Have to keep those in mind. When a tire blows up, keep calm and don't panic.

At first, LM702 215/45 R17s. When the sidewall blew, I got LM703s. When that blew (na-oblong daw kasi), I junked the Dunlops and got myself the cheaper Achilles. Better noise suppression and no blow outs for years. Then I sold the Subie. Haha.

45s are low profiles, had bulging and ruptures too with these bad roads. learning was difficult. but setting a 36psi (cold), helps avoid damage. one more thing, have that spare always ready. two successive damage will make it difficult to go home lol.

I should probably use 36 psi for all R18 tires instead of the M3 spec 35 front 33 rear. Weekly tire inspection is a must for low profile tires.

Thank you Sir. I got the 1.5 V Soul Red Sedan. It's company issued but I get to choose the car as long as within the set price range. I am still learning how to post pics Sir. By the way, I will email you next week regarding the plate relocator..

Also thinking of putting LED bulbs on the headlights as the free tint from the dealership is quite dark for my liking. Any thoughts?

Wow!!! Company issued....Mazda3...Soul Red? You must be their MVP!!!! Grats!!!!
On pics, try to register at postimg.org free hosting site. Upload your pics there & copy the 'hotlink for forums' & paste that on here.
On bulbs, there are so many LEDs out there. Some good, some not. Check halogen upgrades instead. Philips Xtreme Vision +130 seems to be a fave of many.
    Again, welcoM3 hoM3!!!![emoji4]

35 front and 33 rear on Mazda 3 2.0? On 1.5V HB it's 36 on all tires when loaded with a driver and/or front passenger, but 41 front and 46 rear when fully loaded.

    41 & 46? That'll be punishing for the suspension.

That's what the sticker says on the driver's door side. 41 & 46 - five (5) passengers with cargo at the boot. 36 on all tires, one or 2 pax.
