With petrol prices these days...grab a smart charger like the CTEK MXS 5.0. It reconditions, too.

Thanks sir Travs. I regularly charge my M3's battery with CTEK since 2018. I can't do that anymore after I moved in to a condo unit last April [emoji28]

I'll probably just drive the M3 every morning around C5. A good excuse to go out for some fun drive [emoji106]

    Hello guys!
What brand can you recommend for our brake fluid (Dot4)?

Did a specific gravity test 2 weeks ago. The level is still within the green zone but almost near the white zone.

Drove the car for 10 km and restarted it. The warnings were gone.

Looks like the battery is hinting for a replacement? Attachment 41708
    Quick update.

No more warnings after driving the M3 at regular intervals (at least twice a week for 10km).

I inspected the specific gravity of the Yuasa batt fluids. It's still within the green zone but almost near the white zone boundary. Battery is now 2 years and 7 months old.

I can't use my CTEK charger anymore since my M3 is parked at a condo parking area. My only option for now to keep the batt juice healthy is to drive around.

Yup, especially during the lockdown the CTEK charger was very very handy. I also use it for ordinary Motolite batteries. I think I was able to extend at least 1 year for 4 Motolite batteries since I bought the CTEK way back 2018.

The warranty coverage is superb. Back in 2021 during the lockdown, the CTEK charger stopped working. I brought the charger to a nearby Blade store to request for a warranty replacement. Got a brand new one after 2 months.

Looks like I really need to replace my 2.5 yr old Yusana istop battery soon. I found a nearby Amaron dealer selling this for ₱6400

Compared to the Yuasa 95D23L/Q85 priced at around ₱11,000 from Mazda dealership it's really cheap.

The Amaron battery comes with a 1 month warranty unlike with the Yuasa 2 years.

What the correct size for our M3 batts again? 1SNF or 1SMF?

Amaron EFB Duro warranty is 15 months, nagpalit din ako from Yuasa last January sa CX5.

Iba iba ang presyo ng mga store nila. 200 to 300 pesos difference.

What? 1 month warranty? Pass.. hehe

Been using the regular 1smf batt.. 90d23l

    No issues.

Was able to claim warranty on my emtrac EFB.. not enhanced at all... 5 out of 6 cells are dead within 19 months.. out of 24 months warranty

Mazda batt health sensors are very sensitive.. they will go nuts when the battery show any signs of weakness.. even a whiff..

This is true for my case. Every week or two I would see these eloop and battery management error showing up at my dashboard. It usually happens when I don't use the car for a week. The errors would go away after driving the car for 10 kilometers.

I used to charge my batts with CTEK every week at a garage but I can't do that anymore ever since I moved into a condo residence. The Yuasa battery which I bought last 2019 Dec is probably going to die soon so might need a replacement. I'll probably try the Amaron Q85 this time as a cheaper alternative.

1 year warranty is still too short but for the price.. not bad..

Anyway, how can we be sure that these are really "enhanced" and not the same regular batt that they just slapped that Q85 badge?

At first, i thought Q85 size is different from the regular batt.. it turns out its just 1smf size..

Sa may BF Homes Paranaque branch.

Q85 is using gel(liquid) type according to them, different from normal Amaron. So far ok naman, will see after 15 months.

Yung Motolite and Yuasa EFB from Mazda, usually nag last lang ng 2 to 3 months after ng warranty from my experience, may CTEK charging pa yun. Sana mas ok Amaron EFB, price mura na sya with 15 months warranty.

₱14,500 pala yung Yuasa 95D23L/Q85 EFB with 2 years warranty. Nasa 2 years and 7 months na itong batt ko so nasulit na rin. Mukhang nagpaparamdam na talaga [emoji1787]

Yung Amaron Q85 EFB nasa ₱6400. So kahit 2 pa bilhin in 2 years mas mura pa rin compared sa Yuasa ng Mazda dealership.

Yan din concern ko with Amaron kung authentic EFB talaga. Parang napakamura yung ₱6400 para sa EFB. Other EFB brands are priced between 9k to 11k.

Sa Amaron Malaysia site yung Amaron 90D23L/Q85 EFB din ang binebenta na batt for Mazda sedans/suv with istop.

    Good day everyone.
What would be a permanent fix to those noisy calipers (worn pins/guide)? Replace them with new pins? Replace the whole she bang to new ones or upgrade to a big brake setup?

If i go the bigbrake setup, what other stuff do i need to upgrade? Rims? Can you give me the whole specs of rims and tires for that. TIA

My amaron q85 didnt even last more than 6 mos. That's with ctek charging pa. Had problems for the replacement when they ran out. Replaced it with panasonic q90 efb and been with it for 1 year and a half.
