I decided to replace it with Varta Silver Dynamic EFB Q85. Resetting the i-Stop system was relatively simple using this guide:

How much are the EFB batteries these days?

Anyone here replaced their stock shock absorbers with KYB dampers? Any difference? Also, how much are the Mazda stabilizer links, front and rear? Thanks.

i do not know if it's sequitur, but

when i had my innova's front shocks replaced with kybs,
i opted for the white regulars, in lieu of the more expensive black heavy duty.
in retrospect, i should have gotten the heavy duty blacks; the white ones were not so absorbing, and it took a while for them to soften.

Around 1k each for stab links.. for the original mazda.. there are alternatives from 555 brand much cheaper..

I dont know why the original mazda stab links left and right have different pricing and part number.. but they are physically same..

    Kyb is a good brand

Anyone here into 19" x 8.5 rims? What's the recommended offset that will not cause any rubbing? Is +38 offset safe or stick with just +45?

If you're looking for a phone mount for your Mazda 3, I bought this one sa Lazada.

    https://www.lazada.com.ph/products/i...Flag=true&mp=1

It says P334, but bought it before for P174. Sakto yung fit dun sa hazard light, but pag nakalgay lang yung phone, partially naka block yung infotainment. If hindi naka upgrade to carplay infotainment mo ok lang, But if you're using carplay, medyo hassle lang yung view.

I don't have plans on upgrading my HU with the Android Carplay kit. I'm still using my old school iPhone and Android phones for Waze, Google Maps and Spotify.

Here's my magnetic phone mount. It's Baseus.

    https://www.lazada.com.ph/products/b...700750670.html

The nice thing about this phone mount is that you can place your phone horizontal so that it won't block the hazard button.

I'm planning to have my Mazda3 front and rear brake pads replaced at 40,000km.

The OEM brake pads are quite expensive. It's around 13-15k for the front, and around 8-9k for the rear with electronic parking brake.

So I'm thinking on going for the after market brands like Brembo. I found the following pads that are recommended for my Mazda 3 BN model:

    Prime Ceramic P49050N
    Brake pad Brembo P495N

    Prime Ceramic P49063N
    Brake pad Brembo P4963N

A Lazada reseller sells the front for 1,750 and for the rear 2,135. It's way cheaper than the OEMs.

I also heard some other brands like LKC and Akebono but unsure where to buy these.

Anyone here have used Brembo or other brands as alternative to the OEM brake pads? I'd like to ask for your recommendations. TIA!

Thanks sir Travs for the recommendation!

And it's good to see you back here at the forum

My good old Mazda3 BN model is approaching it's 8th year but with just 38,000+ km at the odometer. I've barely used it for the past years due to the pandemic and the really bad traffic here at Metro Manila (rotfl)
