It's getting very difficult to find the Shell Helix Ultra 5W-30 at various Shell stations here at QC, and even at Shell's Lazada store.

For my next oil change, I'll buy this oil instead from Castrol's official Lazada store.

    It's ACEA A5 approval spec.

The 1 liter pack costs ₱750, total of ₱3650

Now I just need to book a schedule from some former Mazda mechanic recommended by fellow M3 owners

    QC area Emmanworx

    Makati/Taguig area Mhonworks

Shell oils are overpriced for me, there are a lot of 5w30 in the market, hyundai xteer actually sells a gallon for around 1k lang

The Makati/Taguig area mechanic also sells a non-mainstream brand of 5w30 along with original oil filters. I used that oil for my not-a-Mazda.

    I wouldn't remove it, it's a reminder. I'd adjust the settings maybe.

Same thing here, although I understand that it's annoying when you don't want to change oil after six months but rather do it for a year.

I know some cars won't reach 10,000 km for a year. This reminds me, what is the technology behind Volkswagen? The Jetta TDI has 15,000 km oil change interval or one year, whichever comes first.

Probably built tough like our old jeeps, I don't remember seeing old jeeps being oil changed that often when I was young, and when I did see oil in a pan, it was during overhaul and not simple oil change.

I think VW is using higher capacity oil filters. They're already using Long Life oils anyways.

    Hi guys!

Do you know a car repair shop or detailing shop that transacts with car insurance companies? A shop that can repaint a snowflake white pearl.

You can give this a try, although they are not affiliated by any car insurance company.

    Technical Details

Try U2Y'Z at Fairview QC (near SM Fairview). They're certified by FPG Insurance. We had one old Mazda3 car repaired at their shop, self accident door damage with a couple of body panel repaint.
