I might be going for the low interest rates than get the free chattel and insurance from Security bank.

What happened to your request about your trip to Bicol? did they grant it?

Anybody here can recommend an SA near Manila?
1/ Yes you are allowed to drive the car w/o registration for 7-working days. The dealer will provide you with documents to show to policemen if you get flagged down. But really its too much of a hassle especially now to do the registration of a new car on your own. Yun nga lang the registration will likely be at NCR rather than Region 12. When to get insurance? Automatic yan kapag car loan. Hindi papayag ang banko na walang insurance.

    2. Yeah as you already noticed "free" is not really "free". Hehe, computed na yan na babyaran mo rin and more.Pero wala ka magagawa, kasi automatic nga yan na kailangan may insurance kapag car loan (both for your sakes and theirs).

    3. Well they said I can do anything I want, its just that there will be no more Yojin3. Eto pa, I asked a funny and absurd hypothetical question: what if I encountered a heavy traffic in my normal route on the way to the PMS, I was then forced to take detours until finally arriving at the shop, but my odometer now reads 1001km? Their answrer: Warranty and Yojin3 will be voided. Suggested solution nila? Bring the car in for PMS before I make the trip, w/c I was hoping to do in 3 days. That means I bring the car in after only 2 days fresh from the dealers and with only a few hundred kms. I got the impression they were more interested in stamping the car's service booklet rather than maintaining the car.

After purchasing your Mazda 2 in Manila, you can either ship it yourself from Manila or drive it back home. Both methods will be cheaper than dealer's freight charge. There's an existing thread here about driving from Manila to Davao / Mindanao, search for it.

You might also want to have accessories installed while in Manila like V-kool tint, backup camera, deep dish mats and plate relocator. Contact travajante here for the plate relocator, it will make your Mazda 2 look much better up front.

Have the dealer register your vehicle in Manila and just transfer the registration when it's time to renew after 3 years. LTO is mostly computerized so they can access your records even if registered elsewhere.

Drive up and down NLEX / SLEX until you reach 1000 kms and have PMS done before driving the vehicle to your hometown. It will take 1-2 days only, do it before dawn so less traffic.

Any advice or help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

huh. you have a point there although mas mapapagastos lang sa gas. i can reach Mazda Iloilo within 650km-700km though pwede na ba yun for the 1000km mandatory checkup?

Also, do you have photos of those accessories you mentioned? mga magkano kaya gagastusin dyan?

Better to spend for gas than lose your warranty.

    Hello po,
Question lang po for those who have the V and S variants. All stock po ba yung wheels nyo? Or nag upgrade kayo to 16" :D
Will be getting my Mazda 2 S M/T soon. And I'm wondering if pwede kong papalit yung stock wheels nya kagaya nung sa R variant since parehas naman sila (body-wise, correct me if I'm wrong :D).

Thanks again and more power!

Marami po ako nakikita nito even in ACE at Blade. I will try to scout for the best prices.

Regarding po pala sa mga gulong, I already deflated to 33-34 (F) & 31-32(R) pero medyo matagtag pa rin at malakas ang road noise. Do you think changing tires (or wheel & tire combo) can improve that?

Has LTO released your plates already? In case anyone dreads drilling that faux CF grille band for plate install, a fresh limited batch of No Drill M2 plate relocators is out now.
