Good day mga sirs. Was planning to purchase a mazda 3 but when the wifey and kids saw the mazda 2........they instantly fell in love with it.

Can I ask if the mazda 2's A/C cold?

Will be using it for field work and pick up the kids after.

Need to have a cold A/C for this weekday chores.

    Thanks in advance.

    Got both, & they're 2 very good cars....but I'd vote for the 3. You won't regret it.

Comparing the architecture on 2 very similar cars, the 3 is cuts above the simpler 2. You'll get a lot more car for the money.
The 2 edges in city traffic....where less is more.

You can dechrome w/ the ff:
    -paint:
Choice of duplicolor shadow, matte, gloss black or Plastidip
I prefer something more durable & easier to reverse...3M wrap which I usually use in dechroming.
The 2's grille is trickier than the 3, but both were done w them on the car. It took a heat gun, some shampoo for wet application, lots of practice, patience. The 3 was started from the middle up. The 2...started from the headlights down. Took 1 whole morning. A pro would probably take an hour or 2. The diffuser & the grille blades were way simpler & a breeze.
Key here is to get more than needed.....& practice.

    Hi M2 owners,

I'm planning to get M2 or City, but want to understand and know the Mazda brand better. Kindly share your ownership experience esp on the following:
    1. FC
    2. availability of parts
    3. maintenance /parts cost

Space is not a concern. What bothers me is I barely see M2s in the street. On paper M2 specs are far superior than any sub-compact in the market right now (except for the City's interior space and Fiesta's steering responsiveness), but I'm looking at the long-term experience where availability of parts and resale value is paramount.

    1. In terms of FC, I have both a diesel SUV and an M2, I would say the M2 consumes about the same amount of fuel as my Sorento, sometimes even better. But of course diesel fuel is cheaper so I still travel more kilometers per P500 of diesel vs P500 of gas.

    2. Mazda's have always been more difficult to find parts for than say Toyotas (where the joke goes that even a sari-sari stote has a Toyota timing belt) or even a Honda. Its a chicken and egg situation, stores will not stock up on parts unless the market demands it, and buyers are reluctant to buy a car unless the shops support it. Mazford I think is the go to place for parts.

    3. With Yojin3, Mazda has you covered for the next 3 yers/30,000 km (with restrictions). After that, I think it will be the same for any other brand.

I was facing the same questions more than a coupla years ago when I decided on my 1.5 HB3, polar01 sir. I closed my eyes & took the leap. My 1st Mazda. Now, into my 3rd year of Mown3rship, I've had zero regrets. Nothing but happiness. Besides kodo & all the Skyactiv engineering, It has been reliable & fun....& Yojin 3 got us covered. You go in every 6months or 10k km....PMS is free including oil & filters(oil, air, cabin). That's 60k km or 3yrs of no worries & shell-out there. Warranty is like most out there....100k km.
That was more than 2 years back. Just recently, the family faced another car need....The story a bit different....I had no more doubts on choice. An M2 hatch....grab 1 & find the reasons why it was awarded Japan's COTY when it came out. Hopefully, you'll feel like this guy....

Anytime, sir....Time perhaps, but DIY will be hobo. Spent sub2k on the matte black & silver 3M wraps & I got more than needed for the trials.

hello sir/ sirs, i'm new to this forum and can't seem to find where to post my simple concern, i'm a new owner of M2 hb and been driving it for jusy a couple of months, what i noticed in this car is that, whenever i speed up to close to 100kph the volume of the stereo would all of sudden be pumped up too, just curious if this thing happens on all M2s, it's kind of annoying but just said to myself that maybe she's just reminding me that i'm going fast, anyone noticed the same thing? TIA

Do you have the 7" infotainment system? Check the audio settings.
