Rotor care is among the seldom discussed. Just a tip, never wash brakes when they're hot. Always wait for the brakes to cool off before you start powerspraying everything under. My OCD even dictates me to avoid puddles whenever possible.
Please get back to us on your findings.
I have mentioned this during my 6month pms and they found nothing wrong with the front rotors. A friend of mine actually found several videos in YouTube saying that it was actually the abs kicking in. Here is a sample video that we found Your car is fine, ABS & Traction Control: What the systems sound like - YouTube. Could anyone confirm this?

How did they check front rotors? They should be done w/ a dial gauge.

Not sure if it's just me but I tried to fill my tank with Petron fuel and after less than two weeks, filled it up with Shell FuelSave. I think the Fuelsave one lasts more. Last time I had my gas filled was 2 Mondays ago, and I still have a little more than a quarter left (whereas the tank filled with Petron fuel only lasted about 9 days). Daily drive from Alabang to Makati and back. Hmm.

Right now I'm at an average of 7.1L/100km (11582km reading).

my non-mazda car likes fuelsave. so does my wallet. but it might be psychological. the km/li figure is very close to the competition's.

The humble Pinoy original M3 Plate Relocator™ just debuted in North America...

Sharing you some comments from across the Pacific pond:
"....Finally! Good lord what a long wait. I installed the plate in about 2 minutes once I got home in the cold and dark.....Love the plate relocated. Thanks!.....Woot woot!"

"Just received my plate relocator yesterday. It's very well done for a custom made product (well packaged too!). Mazda would actually be smart to buy the mold from you guys and sell it themselves. Of all of the car work I've done over the years, this is definitely the most professionally done custom part I've come across. As corny as it sounds, I feel very exclusive to have one on my car.*
I'm assuming you either know someone with an exceptional amount of skill over there, or you had this done through blow-mold. Definitely worth the money in my opinion."

This 1's for the Pinoy Mowner...your appreciation, embrace, inspiration, passion & support....much valued. The bonus of friendships made here, there in that great M3SCPh family & thru Mown3rship in general.... such a priceless blessing.
    Humbled & sincerely grateful.☝

For those who still need M2 or M3 relocators, just please email

    Thanks & God bless.☝

Hi there. I've just read every page in this thread and I think I'm pretty close to making a well informed purchase thanks to everyone. :D

Planning to buy a Mazda 2 this month. Got a few questions:

    1. Did anyone here get to try the Sedan S MT variant? How is it in your opinion (I read that it shifts like a miata)?

    2. I'm especially curious about the wheels its got. Is it the same steel one on the Mazda 2 Neo in Australia? Pics would be nice if anyone can share.

    3. What else is it (Sedan S MT) lacking compared to the Sedan S AT? Wheels, features, etc...

    4. Any advice on what tint to get (casa/outside, brand, light/dark)?

    5. Tips on accessories/things to get (those non warranty voiding ones and preferably has a useful function)

    6. Lastly color recommendations (I'm leaning towards silver with white as 2nd and black as 3rd choice)

I'm really hoping that they release a MT Hatch since I'll get that in a heartbeat but that'll take a miracle to happen within this month.

Not sure if it really shifts like a Miata. Maybe because its "manual" and there is a "manual" Miata (you know like a Honda TMX and Ducatti has 2 wheels so maybe they "ride" the same). Any reason why you want a MT? The price isn't really that different between AT and MT, the Sport mode is preppy enough and there is a manumatic mode if thats still not enough.

I've only tried the MT on a CX5. The clutch is very forgiving and the gearshift is a joy to use

I think it's just the traditionalist in me that wants an MT. Ive driven the AT Hatch and I agree its pretty good especially in sport mode (i was able to overtake a montero driving at 90kmh. :D) but Im not too fond of the manumatic mode of the S and V AT variants. If I could get TOTL with the paddle shifters I'd do it in a heartbeat bud sadly Ive got a very limited budget which I dont think I can stretch anymore. And that budget is the reason Im leaning towards the Sedan S MT variant.

Im still praying to the mazda gods they release a hatch MT. I will pull out all the stops to stretch my budget to get that thing.

I doubt they will ever release a hatchback MT. Even the sedan MT was merely something of an afterthought IMO. They don't even promote/push it that much at dealerships.

Yeah I did notice that. I just got a good deal for a Mazda 2 Sedan V AT with a 55k discount. It's just a bit above budget but I think I can stretch it a bit.

Now if anyone could address my other queries...

    4. This would depend on your preference. I went for the medium myself, since its the sensible compromise between heat rejection, privacy and visibility. Not really a fan of superdark tints. Brand? Its a 3M and it came free from the casa. No sense to spend too much when the car is still not paid for.

    5. Right now the most useful is a dashcam IMO. All my cars have one.

    6. Light colors are easier to maintain and keep clean. Dark colors show scratches, dust and dirt easily. My Mz2 R is aluminum metallic and I only wash once every 2 weeks (summer), in contrast my brown Sorento seems to need a wash every few days (more so in the rainy season).

Thank you so much sir Yatta! I've got a dashcam already from my old car. One accessory Im looking for is if there's a false floor for the boot that would allow for a flat storage bed for when the seats are folded down. Does this accessory exist or should I just by a generic trunk organizer.

Mazda PH enlightened me about the differences between the Sedan S MT and Sedan S AT which as they mentioned:

They were also kind enough to provide some photos of a Black Sedan S MT unit. Notice the steel hubcaps. Still looks pretty good IMO.
They only have Black Mica and Aluminum Silver colors in stock for now for the Sedan S MT.
The SA I'm in contact with also told me that they're currently pushing for more sales for the Sedan variants and you can get some pretty good discounts (less 55k for me for the Sedan V AT, which is the one I will most likely get. ). The hatchback not so much in terms of discounts (got a measly 5k).

Mor3 shared Plate Relocation pics from North America....

    & Mor3 comments....
"I think the plate relocator is a MUST. It is super easy to install....I consider myself pretty technically savvy, so it took me about 2 minutes to install. Someone less technically savvy, probably about 15 minutes. It's a very small mounting block, it's very professional and engineered from a plastic blow-mold process. It requires no drilling to install the mounting block on the front bumper and is easily reversible in the event you want to remove it. Supply is limited though. Hopefully there's still some left."

"Love the front plate relocation. Gonna have to add that to my list of potential things to do. How easy is something like that to do yourself (I'm not the most technically proficient person, but can follow directions fairly well... lol)"

    Thanks. God bless!!!!☝
