I saw OEM tensioner.. made by INA..

Checking their part number almost all have 980B or 980C.. what changes is the first 4 alpha numeric PE03 for mazda 3, physically they look the same

Anyone here already did the AT fluid and filter replacement with their M3? What's your recommended interval?

Did at 50k...too early. Fluid & filter were still in great shape visually. After 2 drains & fills, no felt changes in performance. No trace of any placebo effect.[emoji16]
I'd say 80-100k kms would be ideal.

That's the same recommendation the Mazda mechanic told me, around 80T would be the best time.

Did you also replace the AT fluid filter?

Yup, dropped the pan non-half-arsedly.[emoji16] Not a difficult job.

Bought a new set aluminum no-drill pedals for my M3 BN. I ditched the old ones with the Mazdaspeed engraving20220725_113731.jpg20220725_121836.jpg20210925_100704.jpg

    i have always wondered,
    when the pedals are armored,
does this translate to less pedal wear, at the expense of increased driver soles' wear?

It's just purely aesthetics for me and to some extent easier to clean those pedals [emoji28]

My pet peeve with the BM/BN is that it has a dead pedal rest but it's plain carpet. Until recently the only available aftermarket pedals had a huge "MazdaSpeed" logo and I don't like that. This new set looks better.

I also bought this plain looking aluminum left foot rest pedal. The design is different compared with the new pedals I bought but that's fine with me. I bought this dead pedal a year ago after replacing the noodle floor mats with HippoTech Basic floorliners.

My tensioner has arrived.. cx5 and 3 with 2.0 engines have the same tensioner.. bought mine for only 2.7k pesos.. OEM made by INA schaeffler gmbh..

Will replace belts and tensioner at 45k kms.

I also found a set belts and tensioner for 5.5k pesos.. but the belts are made by mitsuboshi

Cool! INA serves many makes. Hope it lasts longer than the superseded PNs. The genuine updated tensioner that's identical for pretty much all Skyactivs 1.5/2.0/2.5 is a bit over $100 & much pricier in local dealerships.
Links on your find please, sir. It'll help many. Thanks!

Looks like I need to replace the Yuasa EFB in the M3.

I bought the battery last 2019 Dec. It's now 2 years and 8 mos old. The iStop battery management error shows up when using the car (I drive it on a weekend only)

Good thing there are more affordable EFBs now.
