Teins rock

Another spring option would be the mild drop & uprated Racing Beat71082 pure linears *$213 from RB site.
2.9kg/mm (stock 2.5kg/mm) - Front
3.77kg/mm(stock 3.0kg/mm) - Rear
Drop:.75-inch front, and .5-inch rear.
These will pair well w/ Koni FSDs.![]()
yup not the traditional progressive, but nonetheless another type of progressive (which i was just out to clarify since you said they are linear at first whereas i thought progressive and tein said combination, so naguluhan ako haha)
anyway thanks for the info :2thumbsup:
personally from experience i don't like progressives kasi, had them in two of my other cars, tried both with stock shocks and then with bilstein hd shocks, di pa din ok yun matching both on the road and track, car felt imbalanced and the other car was actually slower sa track vs stock suspension. switching to coilovers with linear springs just provided that matched sensation as it should. never tried a linear front and progressive/dual rear setup, so this will be interesting if i do get one.
For track, coilies are best.
We know uprated linear springs are going to provide better level of performance on smooth track pavements at the cost of comfort on the streets. Progressive springs are an attempt to smoothen the ride and improve handling at the same time but aren't optimal at both.
The combo linear fronts & dual rate rears as seen on the HTech is likely designed to limit or delay the possibility of snappy steering responses in cornering transitions.
The HTechs are recommended for those seeking that slight drop & stock comfort.![]()
Hello all, been on the fence for some time (Was looking at other compact, and even subcompact sedans/hatches), but recent events have turned me to the M3
Only problem now is....
Should I get the 1.5V (and dress it up a bit - mags primarily, leather upholstery, maybe the speed bodykit)...or the 2.0 and leave it stock for now? Anyone with insights on this?
Thanks all.
Abroad they like the 1.5 , 2.5 over the 2.0 i drive a 2.0 and to tell you frankly the istop sucks for the Philippines i keep mine off 90% of the time (exept for long drives) and mahal the battery needed for the i-stop (15,000 petot!) I also raced with a 1.5 , in a straight line i left it by 1 car length and could not leave him (hayop yung 1.5 ) off the line almost even (mas magaan yung 1.5) power is not always better . The 2.0 though will have an easier time as you dont have to rev that hard and top end speed is higher than the 1.5 (210-217+ depende nalang kung gaano kalaki bayag mo) but we dont drive that fast normally. So in the end its up to you and how you drive , also if your planning to set up the difference in price can set up your car for sure , if you need more power you can have that done too (though limited yung mods as of now)

Speaking of i stop. can you just turn it off or on while driving? Or do you still need to restart the engine? In a stop and go traffic it would be annoying to keep activating it especially if you only have to stop for like 6 secs.
You can turn it off any time (there is a button that you press for 2 seconds to turn off) but turns on automatically when you turn off and start the car again. If you want it off all the time put your thermostat at max cool and the car will not turn the istop on (ever) but once you heat up the thermo or put the temp hotter than max cool the istop will re engage

But I'm planning na mag drive pa-province this time. May mga LTO officer ba sa mga major highway like NLEX/SLEX/SCTEX? Ma aadvise nyo rin ba na tumuloy pa rin ako sa pag drive ng M3 ko even wala pa akong ORCR? Salamat po in advance![]()
Its better to have , but provincial cops dont really mind private vehicles , if you have the sales invoice and the name matches your licence i dont think it will be a problem as you are also registered in your casa

Even if my sales invoice' 7-day validity is already expired? you think I-hohonor na rin nila yun? Regarding going to province, Im not worried sa provincial cops, I'm actually more worried na baka sa mga toll-gate, may mga LTO na nagbabantay then check my registration.
Thanks sir marcyaptinchay for the quick response![]()
You ask the casa to give you multiple sales invoice with different dates while your waiting for your orcr (yan yung ginawa sa akin ng sa ko (sales invice na good for 3 months ata yun) hahahaahahahaa

I travel to pangasinan every week dont worry walang LTO sa mga toll gates hahaahhahahaahahah they do not have jurisdiction, only the highway patrol

The 2.0 is a good optionbut if you want to set up the car kaagad 1.5 would be a better option . Ako power hungry ako and i have 19s on so kailangan ko talaga as 19s or 18s zap some of your torque (sad but true) pero kung di ka naman boy racer type go for the 2.0 as the stock 18s are maganda na for the mean time hehehehehheheheheheeh sorry for making you think , in the end get what you really want para walang buyers remorse [emoji2]

Have the same sentiments. I also drive the 2.0 and as much as I like the overall package, i-stop sucks and the complete waste of an engine if you drive in the city most of the time. And maybe even after numerous hours saved by i-stop, it will equally offset with the cost of the battery. But this might impact the longevity as the stop start process.
Also Note that LED DRLs and Tail lights are non serviceable, you might have to replace the whole assembly instead of a bulb on the 1.5.
