Yup, my first choice talaga is the 1.5 HB (already have a reservation na nga hehe) because of the potential....but then I got a case of the "what ifs" when the agent told me the arrival is near....and learned a couple of 2.0's are available hehe. And now when I was deadset on a 2.0, all of a sudden the 1.5 rears its head again hehe. Arrrgghh.
BTW, can anyone reco a good place in the qc area (west ave preferred) for mags? Rotas or Lenso is fine for me.
Sir Marc, is your Rota contact from the factory?
Sadly, this won't work. We are 5x114.3.
Warning: Marc is a carrier of the strongest strain of a yet unnamed virus that causes mad Mown3r moddin'....
The symptoms start w/ itchiness, insomnia, night sweats, sweaty palms/soles/armpits, body odor, hairloss, appetite/weight gain, abnormal thirst for beer, libido-loss & they progress to uncontrollable twitching & urge to mod....
The only known medical relief to date is to submit to the latter urge & addiction....:D
God help us all!!!! Hahaha:D
It all depends on use & preference. 1 thing I'll say...personally, had I the spare funds? I'd still go 1.5.![]()
The leather, lights, iStop, 2.0 may be worth above & beyond the difference, but the 1.5 is more than able. Way more than what we paid for....And why do pundits prefer the 1.5 MX5 ND over the 2.0? They must see something we hobos see.
On rims? Rota over Lensos. The former is just great bang for buck. A lot of lightweight models to choose from. Some lighter than authentic Xtremes of the same size at what???? A fraction of the cost of Rays???? And oh, please help revive patriotism. Be homegrown proud. ROTAs are sought after oversees, bulletproof, reliable & best of all....PINOY!!!!
By the way, here's a repost of my hobo hypocrite, BlackMouth.

Bro, if money is not an issue, go for the 2.0. For me it's the best bang for the buck. I do not have to name the advantages coz I know you've already done your homework. I do not have buyer's remorse though kase wala talaga ako pambili ng 2.0. Hahaha!
Marc also has a point na if you like to mod right away, you can have the 1.5 and put the other funds for the upgrades. Wag nga lang engine mod kase kulang pa yung 200k difference to upgrade it. Pero aesthetically, 200k is more than enough. Just like some of us hobos, we'r already happy with 1.5s (maybe an understatement). I did my math and still below the price of the 2.0 with 2 sets of 19s. 1 mz6 19 oem and 1 lc818.
I did mine a bit above 100k( sounds , mags/tires ) , springs, headers , kit and some other small burloloys

For 18 inch pwr fa what is the best tire specs without rubbing?

Seriously? I dont think so bro.. your sound setup plus kits already cost more than 30k. Hehe. Plus the wheel set of 70k. No springs and headers yet.
Baka naman a little over 100k??

Hehehe

I was thinking about it but told the guys im keeping it kasi pag time na pag benta (minus points ang after market rims) gusto nila oem (like what happened to my civic na wala sa akin 40k [emoji24] ) then sa bagong car mapupunta ang LC 818

Hot Hatch is on 245/40 18, tein htechs. Same specs ng pwr fa at titan (18x8.5 +45). Kanina natest niya with full load. No rubbing sa straights, speedbumps, curves even with full load. Nagka slight rub siya on tight ascending curves. Di ako magtataka kase mabilis magdrive. Hehe. 235/40 will be few mm slimmer; 7mm shorter than the 16 oem wheel size so baka maeliminate yung rub even at full speed on tight curves.
