June 27th, 2013 02:36 PM #42I heard 1.5L and 2.0L SkyActiv-G and 2.2L SkyActiv-D lang ang engines. Low output ang 1.5L pero high torque. Plus remember it is lighter than the current gen Mazda 3.

China, being the biggest market that it is as we speak, has different/more advantageous taxation on cars with 1.5L displacement and below. June 28th, 2013 02:30 PM #58Actually, the new Mazdas shares just one platform. The SkyActiv platform is much like the MQB platform of VW. It is developed to underpin multiple models. Even the next Mazda 2 will get this platform although chopped to accommodate the petite dimensions of the 2. Only the MX5 will seem to get a new platform, this time, co-developed with Alfa Romeo.
