digitel,

yeah, i hate those who don't turn right at that intersection. another thing i hate is when tagaytay-bound vehicles don't merge into a single lane near the road leading to la residencia.

twisty yung roads sa talisay diba? hehe

OT:
*moejun2: the place doesn't need an aircon

and hindi ko talaga makakalimutan nung na stuck kami dyan sa buhangin! well, it was a better experience than being stuck in mud

*digitel: hindi ko rin alam sir, no experience with real offroading... sa tingin ko lang in this case pabaliktad kasi yung towing hooks nasa harap

*Chickselog: marami na pala kaming naisasalba nung frontier na yan that was the April of 2009

Wow.. Thanks so much for this info sir .. At least now I know, and also our other readers ..

btw chikselog,

if you want to test your driving skills a bit, drive down to talisay. that should be fun. then take a banca to the crater.
Hehe.. If there will be time and sana mapagtripan ng mga loko kong mga katropa na pumunta ng crater.. I want to go there anyway minsan lang makapunta ng tagaytay eh sana masulit na hehe..

I really want to hone my driving skills .. 1 year pa lang ako nagmamaneho hehe.. Last April 1 ako nakakuha ng non-pro..
sorry ot..

Hehe magka-age po tayo .. 16 years old ako nagstart magpaturo ang mag practice right after getting my Student Permit.. Problem lang talaga is when I'm not familiar with where I'm going..

Rosa-Tagaytay Road.. Kaines kasi tagal magreply .. If ever baka sa Emilio Aguinaldo Hway pa ako mapadpad nito

if you're going to silang, you can take the Pook road, this is a shortcut found in Lumil, just after Caltex, to your right. turn right then follow the road signs. you'll end up in silang.

however, you can also take the tagaytay route and upon reaching the intersection (called silang crossing) turn right and you'll be traversing aguinaldo hiway. that'll take you to Silang.

you're lucky we have googlemaps now. when i started driving, i had to rely on strangers for directions. many times they pointed me in the wrong direction. that sucked but i learned a lot.

Hehehe.. My dad tells me that also..

Haay, they didn't even think na pag-aaralan ko pa yung way papunta dun..

hmm... after backreading parang na-intriga ako sa Eton road ah. However dadaan pa rin ata dun sa 2 lane-only road lampas ng Adventist University na madadali ka na mga trikes and other vehicles na 20kph lang takbo.

If I backread it right, from Valenzuela.. and Silang naman ang punta. Para maiwasan ang pasikot-sikot at makikitid na kalsada, I'd recommend NLEX Southbound... then EDSA all the way straight to Diosdado Macapagal (going MOA), then turn left sa intersection heading to Coastal toll. Pagdating sa interchange sa St. Dominic's sa dulo ng Coastal eh turn right and all the way straight na yun to Silang.

Haven't done a straight-trip from Valenzuela to Silang, but Balintawak to Evangelista in Pasay is roughly 45 kms., then from Evangelista to Dasmarinas is 30++ kms. Total 95kms. more or less. If my guess is right and Vios ang gamit na auto, more or less 1/4-1/2 ang kaltas sa tank round trip kung di gaanong trapik.

Expect possible bottlenecks on the following area though:

Munoz Market (due to the ongoing railway construction)
Ortigas Flyover (well, kung swertehin hindi)
Merge after EDSA-Magallanes of vehicles heading for Pasay (yung may flyover going to Domestic Airport)
SM Bacoor Interchange
Robinsons Imus

After Imus smooth-sailing na yan. Personally I prefer this route compared to SLEX because the only toll I'd have to pay is 22 pesos (sa Coastal). Not to mention mas sulit ang feel ko na doon dumaan kaysa sa SLEX considering the traffic conditions approaching Sucat and Alabang flyover because of the Skyway construction.

Just my .02. But if you still prefer to go ahead to the SLEX route, feel free to do so.

here is a pic:

Sir since taga valenzuela ka eto pa short cut, if etiher mag coastal-aguinaldo hi-way ka or SLEX. Punta C-3 or C-4 Navotas, make a left on Radial 10 (Pier Rd.) deretso lang hanggang umabot ka ng Roxas Blvd, then straight to baclaran. Or if SLEX k turn left at quirino ave, go past TAFT ave. then right to OSMENA hi-way. I always take sta. rosa exit, its simpler at hindi naman sobra traffic lage.

note avoid driving at Pier/Radial 10 rd. ng 2pm onwards of wednesdays and thursday.
