For me, the best route is the Balibago-Tagaytay road. Iyon lang nga, iiwasan ang oras ng pasukan at uwian sa LTI para minimal lang ang traffic. But then, you can also use the green field exit after Sta. Rosa. exit.

From SLEX, take the Sta. Rosa Exit. Turn right sa coke. Follow the road to Tagaytay palengke. You can turn left towards people's park or right to Tagaytay Proper.

+1 on this. This has always been my route and its quite pleasant. Although I have to admit, there will be some traffic build-up from the Alabang area to a little past the Susana Heights exit due to the ever-so-slow road construction there...

take the SLEX nalang, sir then exit sa Sta Rosa then straight to Tagaytay.

pag Aguinaldo highway kasi mas maraming traffic ka madadaanan hanggang Robinsons Dasma.

as far as i know, there are only two routes feasible.

the first is via SLEX, exit at Sta. Rosa, drive by Silang, and you're there.
the second is via Aguinaldo, passing Bacoor, Imus, Dasmarinas, Alfonso...

the first route is shorter maski may construction sa alabang area. and besides, they sometimes do counterflows.

the second route is much longer, and you will encounter lots of choke points.

I take the Daang Hari - Bacoor - Imus - Dasma - Silang route. But that's coz most of the time, I come from Alabang already. Most of the traffic you'll encounter along this route is already along Aguinaldo highway in the Dasma area.

what's that about muslim brothers shooting? i live near tagaytay and constantly use the sta. rosa to tagaytay route and i've never encountered that.

BTT, best route still is sta. rosa exit right all the way to tagaytay or the Eton Exit all the way to paseo then left all the way to tagaytay.

We spent the weekend at Balai Isabel in Talisay, Batangas. Traffic was horrendous at SLEX up to Batangas exit. Then I took the STAR tollway, exit at Sambat then National Rd. Our way home was more adventurous as we took the Talisay zigzag to Tagaytay. I had 7 persons including luggage jampacked in my CR-V and I have to say na hirap ang paakyat. Had lunch at Bag of Beans, then we just took the Sta. Rosa exit going back to Manila.

..from alabang going to daang hari road and straight ahead going to open canal road (brgy malagasang) then left turn (when you see the police station), straight ahead until you reach Purefoods factory then right turn going to manggahan intersection, from manggahan intersection take left turn going (Gateway business park) and this road straight ahead to tagaytay. im sure wala kang kalaban sa daan nyan (no traffic hassle) it takes less than an hour..try to find sa google earth para makita mo yng road.. gudluck

Now, this is another viable route to Tagaytay na mga taga Etivac lang ang makapagpapayo....

BTW, on the way, puwede ka pang pa-kape-hin ni GT....

    Hi!

I'm a newbie when it comes to driving. 3 weeks pa lang ako nag-da-drive and makukuha ko pa lang ung car hopefully this week. Pero ung sister ko nag-start na siyang mag-plan to go to tagaytay next month. Super ganon kahirap ba ung route to tagaytay?

It's not that hard IF you have driven it once before.

For me, the best route right now is via Sta Rosa and follow the road all the way until you reach the public market located at tagaytay. Turn right to the rotonda, churchs, restaurants, etc.

By the way...if you are not an experience driver...be careful in going to tagaytay. road has uneven levels ( up and down ). You will also encounter some stupid PUV drivers on the road...Enjoy the rest!

from slex. use southwoods or carmona exits, baybayin ang governor drive until SM Dasma/Aguinaldo hi way. Another option is Silang bayan lalabas din ng Aguinaldo hi way. Then malapit na sa Tagaytay.

yup this is what I call a relaxing ride to Tagaytay (kakaunti lamang ang mga sasakyan dito), medyo mahirap lang kung unfamiliar ka sa daan, anyway marami namang mapagtatanungan

after taking the eton exit derecho lang, there are signboards along the way. on the first intersection make a right turn, then left on the stoplight (it's the tagaytay-sta rosa road).

    average speed there is 60kph.
