I went up there this May. I left manila around 3:30am. Gusto ko kasi pasikat ng araw since I do not want to drive Kennon when its dark. The nlex-sctex-tplex road is a pleasure to drive, so you don't really have to be in a hurry. I took the Kennon road going up & Marcos hway going down. I feel that Marcos highway is an easier drive going down, coasted in 6th most of the time:-)

Hey guys, I'm plannng to go to Baguio this weekend, Sunday-Monday. Problem is, the car that I am planning to use is Coding on a Monday. Diba may Coding sa Baguio? Is there a way around it? I dont wanna use the other car cause I've been using it everytime I go for a long drive.

You can go to a Police station in Baguio to get an exemption. Coding affects only the inner parts, like session road. Around outskirts like BCC or Camp John Hay, it does not apply.

^Which part of Baguio are you going to? AFAIK only certain parts of Baguio are covered by number coding. If you stay outside city proper you should be fine. Otherwise, I suppose you'd have to take public transport if you plan on going around the city on Monday. Considering the scarcity of parking spaces in Baguio City proper, it's actually more convenient to do so.

Exemption for coding will only set you back 300 pesos which you can get from the City Hall. No long lines. It will just take 15 minutes of your time to get it.

you mean, you can buy an exemption pass?
so why have coding at all, if anyone can buy himself an exemption?
...is the answer so obvious.. i do not know why i am asking at all.. maybe to drum up the absurdity of it all.

The locals wont get 300 weekly passes. Unless they can afford. Its a small city. So they will prolly stay home. I think its a good move by the local govt.
