Ayaw ko na sana tires from china pero kulang sa budget, yung westlake na tires ko nakakabit now ay bilis masira at nagbubukol 4K isa pa ang bili. Ang 1 set ng sailun ay 10K lang. Achilles sana gusto ko. Matagal na po niyo gamit Sailun? Wala naman po problem? except for the road noise
Thank you sir sa feedback.
Bumili na lang me ng Goodyear DuraPlus tire, pares sa harap, last week, last friday. P2,278 lang each for size 165/80R13. Mas assured na ako rito. Indonesian made rin. Free mounting and balancing, bayad na lang me sa wheel weights.

Any suggestions for stock tire replacement for innova? Achilles Platinum 7 is priced around 2650 each.
Tire size is 205/65r15

We have the same tire size. I had the Achilles 2233 for my first set of tires. Decent tires and really good value since they're very cheap at 3.5k each.
Was able to regularly bring the car to 200 kph without any blowouts, good enough handling for everyday driving with the occasional mountain run. Only time it fell short was when I brought it to the track where it developed uneven wear. But I was already able to squeeze out 42,000 km at that point so I really can't complain.
I eventually replaced them with Kumho Ecsta LE Sport (KU39) tires. Better grip at the limit and more comfortable over potholes because of the thicker sidewall (even if it's the same size). Pricier of course at 5.5k/tire but I still find it good value because the Ecstas are high performance tires but are priced the same as the entry level tires from Yokohama, Toyo and Hankook.

Both the Rav4 and Pajero FM were already sold a few years ago. I had Sailuns first on my Rav4, which I believe was 2011. Had it for more than 3 years. Never had problems even with long driving, until I sold the Rav4. Yung Pajero FM naman, I installed the Sailuns around 2013 but sold the car too in 2014. Both experiences were positive for me. Never nga ako naflat using Sailuns for some reason, kahit pinangoffroad ko pa yun. Right now, I have Sailuns on my Swift 4 months on-going, so far so good.
any tips ong best bang for the buck mud tire 265/75 r16? is comforser brand good? thanks
Kmusta po review for westlake? kakabili ko lang po kasi ng 4 tires. Sana tumagal din.
Budget tires pa more?
This is what happened to the China tires that came with my Mazda 3 when I bought it:
Inner tread of the tire has disintegrated with the steel belts exposed. Take note, the tires have only traveled a little over 20,000 km. I had my wheels aligned back in November before I brought the car to an out-of-town trip and they were still fine. In the span of two months, it went from OK to life-threatening real quick. Even on the other side of the tire, the treadwear indicator was already beginning to show so the tires only had about 5,000 km left.
These are Torque TQ901 tires, supposedly the top-tier model of the Torque brand. I initially didn't mind because I rarely bring my Mazda out of town and I use the car mostly for house-to-office runs only. But even with a light workload, the tires didn't hold up very well.
For a few hundred pesos more per tire, my Achilles 2233 tires on my other car lasted much longer (42,000 km) even with lots of hard driving and even a track day. Still a budget brand, but it obviously fared much better.
As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Sure, upfront cost is lower, but you also have much lower treadlife so you end up changing tires more often. Worse, you subject yourself to quality issues like what I experienced.
P.S. Never drive damaged or worn-out tires. This is what happens when you drive worn-out tires:
My Achilles 2233 were worn out and I got surprised that I lost grip even if I wasn't going very fast through a corner. Thankfully I was able to regain control, but needless to say, I changed tires immediately afterwards.
My friend wasn't quite as lucky. His worn out tires also caused him to oversteer and unfortunately it led to this:
Doesn't matter if it's a budget tire or not (my friend was still on stock Yokohamas). If the tread's gone, replace it as soon as you can.

Most drivers dont even know what tread depth is.
I wish more safety awareness campaigns are done by the tire manufacturers in the country.
Surprisingly, not a single scratch. We brought him to the hospital anyway and he checked out fine.
Worn out tires exponentially reduce a car's grip. This is especially true if the road is damp or greasy. Doesn't matter if you don't drive fast. Even at sane speeds (both my friend and I were just doing 50 kph when we oversteered).
Yet, many people still wear out their tires until they're almost slicks. Gusto pa ata maaksidente bago matuto.
