I have Petlas on one of my trucks bro. Not worth it imo. Madulas sya. Also had a couple breaks in the tread area even if we didn't get a single puncture. For 185r14 we use MRF. Good quality for the price. Bridgestones are still better but price is wow.

Nexens are the oem for our GS. Ok naman, tread compound is on the hard side. Grip is just ok and we haven't had any problems naman. Hankooks look like they are much better. A relative has them on his Sta. Fe.

mga bros, almost rear ended someone the other day. si kumag driver literal na biglang liko (motel), di nag signal pero tumigil bigla at tsaka nag signal na kakaliwa. * 60kph and no engine braking approximately 18 ft. bago ako nag fully stopped. umuulan pala noon and no abs yung auto ko (afaik vios e mt 2006). is this bad?

Thanks bro.,- will then scout for other brands...

Pang-ragasa....

    Am currently using Hankook RA08.

I do not like the stock Kumho Kh17's on my Kia rio. Handling issues at high speed highway driving.

NANKANG or FEDERAL?

    Between the two, Federal.

You can also check out GT and Achilles if you're looking for budget brands.

Yep, Federal over Nankang. Opt for 595EVO or Formosa FD2 with Federal.

You can also check out Neuton or Accelera, good Indonesian brands like Achilles.

The 225/45/r18 will be taller but it is within less than 5% of the stock size so you'll be good. I would suggest you go 235/40/r18 instead as it will be nearer to stock height but you get a wider tire.

Kumho Ecsta LE Sport KU39. Around 6k per tire. Grippy yet quiet. It seems that tread wear is good too as I've already done 10,000 km with my set and it still looks very thick.

You can also go for Yokohama BluEarth AE50, around 5.5k. Not as grippy as the Kumho, but at least you get the Yokohama brand.

If you want cheaper tires, Achilles 2233, around 4k per tire. Though I have to wonder why you're going for budget tires kung may pambili ka ng Sonata.

Nasa province nmn kotse, 25km/day lang nmn tinatakbo.

Low budget yet good quality tires
