Low budget yet good quality tires

Opposite for me. Started with Achilles, then went Kumho/Yokohama/Bridgestone. Now using Michelin Pilot Sport 4 - won’t go back to cheap tires anymore.

Yup! Outstanding in the rain, among the best in the dry (can keep up with 200TW tires), very quiet and has good wear for regular use. It doesn’t come cheap but I don’t mind spending for the only thing that connects my car to the road.

In my case, several years ago, I strictly bought either Yokohama tires or Dunlop tires only on my old projects. Had very good experiences running Yokohama S Drives and Dunlop lm02 tires at the time even if these tires wore out faster than expected.

Decided to try Federal SS595 after these tires as they seem to be highly recommended by people from the community for good grip at a budget price. Worked well as recommended with the exception of the sidewalls cracking prematurely. Tires were maintained meticulously in maintaining tire pressure ( 33 psi ) weekly, never ran over potholes, and even made sure that the manufacturing date was within a year on the day of purchase. Even still, sidewall cracks started appearing after 2 years of use.

I used the 595EVO before on our old Accord and I never had a problem with them. Medyo noisy but it is expected for a sport tire.

We used the SS595 on the Civic RS and two were replaced under warranty. Bumukol yung side wall eh. Buti pa yung Falken na gamit sa Jetta, no problem at all.

From what I gathered from a reputable tire store, there was a certain batch of 595SS that had issues with the durability of the sidewall. Looks like what he said was true.

He mentioned though that this was corrected by Federal already [emoji108]

i think my decision was entirely because i didn't experience any problem with the affordable ones. every one of those tires lasted as they should, and saved some money for other things.
