There's probably a manual release that can be accessed from a panel inside the cargo area like those on Kia Carnivals.

Regarding dun sa fuel cap opener, kung electronic yan, may manual override yan.. Check your owner's manual for reference.

Report ko lang, My Sorento had three minor warranty issues na.

First issue was the brake light switch. There are times my Push start button won't work, it will just go to accessories. I would just use the emergency start method found in the manual, then ok na. Had it checked at Kia Pasay, defect was due to brake light switch, which they replaced under warranty.

Second issue was my steering wheel started heading left a lot. I had it checked again at Kia Pasay and they rotated the wheels, checked suspension, turns out one of my wheel balancing weights fell out, so they replaced this and the misalignment is gone. No charge again.

Third issue is my fuel cap opener. It stopped working. I had it checked at Kia Pasay and turns out my push button mechanism is broken. Part will be replaced under warranty, but will take 3 weeks to arrive as it will be ordered from Korea pa. No charge on this again.

These are just minor issues which is likely the result of being such a hi-tech car. I am very happy with Kia PAsay service. They know how to treat a customer right. Two thumbs up!

Had my EGR cleaned at kia pasay. 1,600 pesos total charge with VAT. Mahal talaga mg maintain ng crdi. Kung hindi lang ako satisfid sa power ng crdi matagal ko na ito pinalitan ng japanese car. Hehehe

^di pa ako nag kakaroon ng Fuel Tank cap issues. pero ung brake light sensor napapalitan ko na. hassle yun, you guys should get your checked already if you haven't.

I believe yung design flaw for the sorento is yung fuel door itself not the actuator/lock. nangyari sa akin yan lagi pero mga three presses bumubukas naman. then one day ayaw niya bumakas at all. ayaw bumukas ng fuel lid even on the manual pull handle ayaw niya bumukas. para bang kahit yung lock nasa sagad na open position nakastuck parin yung fuel lid so mapa manual or electronic press di talaga bubukas. buti alam na ng SA ko yung workaround. angat yung fuel door kahit kuko lang i-angat pataas then sabay press/manual pull. buti nag-open empty panaman diesel ko nun gabi pa.

Yup, sa left side inner rear panel yung manual override for the fuel cap. Manual mode muna kami for the next 3 weeks, haha. My fuel release button has been spotty since the first year I got the car, but it always opened naman. It was only last month na parang na-disengaged na yung button, no resistance whatsoever whenever it is pressed. Kia Pasay diagnosed it as a broken button na.

pwede, pagawa ka ng folding seat. ang problema e ingress/egress ng 3rd row passengers since hindi na nafo-fold forward yung 2nd row, fold flat na lang. so mahihirapan ang pasok/labas ng 3rd row passengers.

Saan ka nakakuha ng oem subwoofer? Ang alam ko yung oem subwoofer ng sorento nasa gitna ng dashboard, sa taas ng HU. Congrats sa sucessful upgrade! Hehehe Gawa kayo ng account sa Photobucket then upload pics tapos post mo yung link dito.

test drove the sorento crdi. power, response, and acceleration was great. ride was a bit stiff, not sure baka mataas lang tire pressure. road noise isolation was also good. can't even hear the diesel engine in the cabin. just waiting for the 2013 facelifted model and i think this is it. btw, talked with the SA and he said that they use multi-grade oil for PMS.. how true ?

had my 30K PMS for the sorento. From the usual Voltronic Synthetic (laus group) that was used for almost all of my PMS, they have a memo that requires all dealerships to use the Oil Recommended by CAC. If i'm not mistaken, it is ZIC fully synthetic oil 10W30 for the diesels. Costed 2500 for 7liters.

^ yup ZIC oil fully synthetic ang gamit nila. and at a reasonable price. kia congressional said less than P4k for an oil change, filter, consummables and labor included. not sure of that price though as my sorento still has 3000km to go for its first PMS so that is per what they told me, not as per experience.

sgsb, stiff din sobra yung sorento ko pag labas sa casa, the tyres were overinflated to 50 psi! now it is down to 35 psi ok na siya. still firmer than an SF but definitely better than a fort or MS. so ano kukunin mo? awd?
