I also thought of another idea guys!
Notice the holes(inside) on the hood when you pop it open?
I think that's for insulator, i'm planning to put one so the HOT SUN! won't add as much heat to our engine.
Also i'm thinking of adding a rubber like tubing to my fuel line as an additional insulator, because i noticed that even after parking the car for 2 hours the fuel line is still as hot, though i know this is a bit normal, but i'm just thinking of vapor lock if the fuel line is too hot during high RPM's which will down our car's performance.

The problem is the kia line up today, the maybe hyundai sister but Kia bodies are not fuel efficient, check all gas-fed Kias dito sa forum, sorento, picanto, forte, all gas guzzler. The avg of brand new kia picanto is 8km/liter. For a mini-car, that's not acceptable.

Just face it Kia is not Hyundai, hindi light metals nakasalpak sa kia ngaun, kumbaga sa acer laptop, e-machines brand ang kia, while hyundai is acer.

I beg to differ, from what your saying are you implying that kia is lying?
Because if you have proof of that please kindly post it. I did some research on that, they both have the same curb weight and gross weight with only a difference of less that 10kg (insignificant). I am not trying to oppose you, simply pointing out the facts from my research.
Please correct this if i am wrong thanks!

My friends also drives a hyundai accent 2012, their fuel consumption is no different from mine so where did you get this idea that hyundai is different from kia in terms of FC and weight?

i just had my 2nd pms last 18 march. complained about my high fc. nag test drive kami ng mechanic. the usual full-tank- drive-around-then-full-tank-again routine. we travelled 13km and refueled 1.2liters. hindi ako convinced kasi not my normal route ang biyahe. but i think they did something kasi humina ang hatak compared when i got the car last year. after holy week ko na lang ireklamo. dati kasi di ako maiwan ng mga motorsiklo from a standstill up to the next stoplight.

Sana dalhin ng KIA ang diesel version ng rio dito sa Pinas.. Ito Kia Rio 1.1 CRDi Ecodynamics. Search na lang po mga ka tsikots about the review. For city use I prefer this rio variant, it got the look ang the fuel economy that everybody wanted in their daily ride, including myself.

Eto na lang, ill explain the accents and rio gasoline are light bodies, with sufficient powerful engine. If powerful ang engine at magaan body mapapatapak ka talaga, so yun FC nyo that only speaks a lot about your driving. Try to drive oldr civics with 1.5 engines, matipid yun sa gas pero di kasimbilis humatak nyan rio nyo. Just accept it, you have a powerful car at 1.4L engine, tapak nyo na yan.

What the mechanic did to conserve fc sa test drive mo was only to reduce rpm below 1.5krpm. Mahirap gawin sa regular driving with traffic, pedestrians, and you thinking about work and othet stuff. Face it yan na FC nyan. my crv 2.0 1st gen does better than your rios, it's 8km/liter. yun nga lang kakahiya, kasi i have 13 yr old car which is thriftier than yours. Yan 5-6km liter, yan ang consumo ng Ford Explorer ko ngaun pure city lol

Almost 1 year na ang Rio 1.4 MT ko but can go 10-11 km/lit on city 16 km/lit on high way. No engine knocking kahit ano ang brand ng fuel ang isaksak, but I prefer shell unleaded.

on specs naman yung ginamit na oil. mura kasi promo and yung casa dito sa davao ay kilala na hindi taga ang presyo kahit wala na warranty period ang mga parts dapat palitan. maraming kia owners sa casa nagpapa repair kahit more than 5 years na auto nila.

actually DRL ready na talaga. nakadisable lang. diko alam wiring nyan pero baka nakatanggal yung fuse nyan sa fusebox either sa driver side ng steering wheel or sa engine compartment na fusebox. yan kasi talaga hirap sa kia hyundai. walang mga abang na wiring at ang daming part number para lang sa mga wiring assy.

Ngayon ko lang narealize na underpowered pala yung 1.4 Hatch after ko mahawakan ulit yung 1.5 Jazz ng kuya ko... Yun ata factor bakit din malakas sa gas.. Dapat talaga nag 1.6 Hatch ako..

Ok naman rio ko.. I average 8.5-9 km/l with mix driving but mostly city.

Underpowered talaga ang 1.4AT, mas mabilis pa nga yun 1.2 na manual na rio. I dont expect it to be fast din naman hahaha! All show lang talaga ang rio hahaha!

Naghahanap ako ngayon functional shark fin antenna na ipinapatong lang. Wala kasi stock si wings west ngayon ng kulay itim.

Tas sabi ni garyq kaya niya paganahin yun DRL natin pero kelangan niya makita unit, kaya schedule ko sa May.

Naghahanap din nga ako sharks fin na patong lang, kaso malaki kasi yung kabitan ng antenna natin kaya d kaya patong.. hehe kaya iniisip ko mag DIY antenna

Yup void na electrical warranty. Pero kung maayos naman gawa wala magiging problema tsaka malamang wala naman magiging deperensya.

Yun kay wings west na shark fin kasya sa gen 3 na santa fe, tingin ko kaysa na din yun sa rio. Problema lang wala stock ngayon
