hey guys, we just had our Sportage checked in the casa for 20k maintenance at Kia Otis this morning. We got a txt around 2pm that the car was ok to pick up already but when we got there we were told there was a problem when they changed the fuel filter and that the car won't start. Long story short it's still in the casa right now and they will check it again tomorrow as they can't still figure out what's wrong. Has anyone else had the same problem ?

Also I know the owner of Kia Las Pinas and Kia Otis is the same (bought my Sportage at Las Pinas) and I would like to bring this to his attention as I am concerned this might lead to maintenance issues down the road (and worried that my Sportage would break down in the middle of the road especially since my kids use it for school). In fairness to the staff of Kia Otis they were very upfront and professional about it and agreed to my request to work on it on a sunday BUT I would like to get assurance that the utmost attention is given to this now so I'd like to send a quick email (or SMS) to the owner. Would anyone know how to get in touch with him ? I know some posts back there were some members who were able to get his attention as well.

meron pa bang rear parking / back-up sensor yung 2014 Sportage CRDI EVGT? or wala talaga? They dont' seem to be visible (not like other cars which have small visible circles as housing). Wala ring beeping sound (long) when i shift to reverse. thanks

Just to refresh the thread as I am also interested in getting this SUV; any updates from current owners "long term" reliability reports naman diyan. Kumusta rin po maintenance cost for the past 3 years? I'm particularly interested in getting the CRDI 4x2 model. Hope to get a heads up. TIA

Ang hirap pala makahanap ng red sportage, the agent told me mga 3rd week pa daw ng Feb. She's very accommodating by the way and offered me additional GPS+backup camera for 18k on top of the usual freebies (3yrs LTO, chattel, 1yr compre insurance w/ AOG, EWD, carwash, gas, tint, matting, etc.) Good deal na kaya ito?

Dealer is Kia Las Pinas (Autocirculo), let me know if you're also interested with KIA cars so I can refer you to her. She's a freelance model too!

Anyone who could answer is very much appreciated. The SA's are of no help, Does the current model Sportage have flex steer power steering(normal,sport,comfort mode) be it the gas or diesel, or only in the gas model? Is the engine of the gas variant the NU engine or still the THETA II? Is the diesel model 4x4 or FWD? And does the steering wheel have audio controls? I could have verified this myself but there is no unit available on display at Kia Las Pinas and Alabang

Last ako nagpaservice sabi ng technician no flex, pero it's now EPS. Gas variants are now NU. No 4x4 in diesel, only the 2.4 gas. I've seen the new gas units and no more steering controls on this year's model. But they've added aircon vent in 2nd row, vent lang walang control. Then the 2nd row reclines a little, they removed the tonneau cover because of this.

Thank you, going to get a diesel sportage. Had to go to kia pasay to check out the gas variant on display. No more rear sensors too. Gave the agent a "seminar" on the steering mechanism of the sportage. Even gave him a test, asked him the name model of the gas engine to which he answered "GAMMA Sir" baka nalito lang sya sa Rio.

Yup, they removed a lot of things. Also i forgot to mention, removed signal light on side mirrors, no more folding mirrors, no more rear spoiler also... And to think they increased the price about 100k.

They gave me a 80K discount, also the gas variant did not have mud guards, will have to call goodgear if they have it in stock. Where do you get accesories for your kia?

I'm not into accessories. Mine remains stock. Just Growl audio for the Audio and TV Plus for TV. But you can search this thread. A few has been mentioned.
