Congrats jacob! Dumadami na mga ka-sporty! Apart from seeing one on the road regularly, just this weekend, I saw a white sportage LX (not really sure if it was an LX but roof rails was missing) sa may Technohub

I saw a carbon fiber door handles for our cars somewhere. I can't remember kung sulit ba un or e-bay.

that will improve a LOT! the only time i get close to that FC is when i'm idling too long and that's not recommended during the break-in period. i was averaging at 10L~/100Km before. now, i think i can hit the 9L~/100Km average mark with the new *ahem* mod. let's see

parang minority pa din ang sportage sa roads eh, madami ba talaga? Yun CRV na 500k more expensive, mas madami pa ako nakikita considering yan sportage aggressive na may less than 1M entry level.

    Good day sirs!

Planning to upgrade our 2009 Honda jazz "family" car this coming October. We have 2 kids aged 3 and 4.

We're considering the non-vgt Montero and the crdi sportage. Almost same price sila. Pwede po makukuha ng insight?

Yung nature of work ko po is consultancy. Around 1-2 times a week, I go to Sta. Rosa from QC for client visits. The other days, nasa QC lang yung clients ko. On weekends, usually punta lang sa mall with the kids and their yayas.

Yung PMS po ng sportage, every 5k talaga kahit fully synthetic yung gamit? Thanks in advance for your feedbacks!

For a family car i will choose montero over our sporty, lalo na sabi mo you got two kids with their yayas... that's will be 4 passengers already, plus your wife and you as the driver so 6 person in total? A 7 seater montero sure will be a better family suv. But for your out of town business trip, i'm sure you will enjoy the sporty much more than the montero. So you have to decide which is more important for you.

For fully synthetic it 'can' be change every 10k, as long as it doesn't take too long to reach, since FS oil still have a 'expiration' date. But with unit from CASA you have to follow their recommendation to avoid void of warranty.

    Hi,
I will be acquiring Sportage in a few months, however, still contemplating if I'll get the gas or diesel version (4x2). Based on my calculation, considering the ff:
    1. additional premium (P130K) for the diesel,
    2. difference in fuel price -P10.00
    3. ave. fuel consumption of each variant , 10 km/l vs 7 km/l
    4. Average 1000km mileage per month
    5. max. 5 years ownership

Diesel has only a P16,000 cost advantage over the gas variant in a 5 year period excluding the cost of money invested for the diesel.

So for me, there is not much difference costwise if you plan to own it for 5 years.

In addition po pala sa consideration above:
    6. PMS for diesel every 5000Kms vs. Gas every 7500km.
    7. PMS for diesel is estimated P2K costlier

yes sir tama ka. Kailangan long time & high mileage user ka to make even the cost. But.. the joy of driving the high torque CRDi engine is comparable to none. Sarap talaga nyang idrive.

Not to mention the diesel variant is noisier

the only advantage is low-end power and thriftiness in terms of fuel consumption. Personally, I feel the cost of each trip in a week to the gas station hurts more than the cost of maintenance which comes every 2-4 months.

Magandang araw po. 1 week pa lang po yung Sportage namin and meron na agad gumasgas habang nakapark kahapon. Ask ko lang po kung makakaya pa po ito ng rubbing or panel repaint na.. salamat po.
