A question lang to those who got the HU upgrade. Gumagana ba yung dalawang 12v socket, USB Port, Aux in, and ipod socket just in front of the AT lever? Yung sa akin kasi kanina ko lang na check hindi gumagana. When i got the HU upgrade, they routed separate cables ng ipod/iphone and a USB connector sa glove box.

I don't know if the HU/back-up cam supplier of KIA Cubao is the same as KIA Las Pinas (lurkercar). But if it's the same, I haven't checked the right 12 volt socket, but the left one works. The USB port works as well , but the iPod connectivity using the front USB/AUX IN via the factory cable has been sacrificed. The USB port still works, but you have to use the new cable routed to the glove compartment for iPods/iPhones

I know you got your unit from Las Pinas so we have the same HU upgrade. I wonder about your USB Port/Aux In functionality. It works for iPods still?? Can you verify when you have the free time? Don't you have the new cable to the glove compartment?

another question, meron na bang nakapag kabit ng antenna booster? changed my HU (DIY) and ang hina ng AM. ganito itsura nya. saw it on ebay. TIA

Thanks doc...will check with the supplier. Sa case ko, all ports (left &right 12v socket, usb, aux) are not functioning. Isabay ko sa service on saturday.

Want to check also if the ac thermostat is really mahina. I mean hanggang 4 notches lang ako from max temp setting for the cold air. Any notch below that parang blower na lang. Then 2 notches sa cold setting from the middle part bumubuga pa din ng hot air. Showed this to the sales representative ko and nagtaka din sya. Does anyone have similar experiences? Im scheduled to go to acropolis to check the aircon and the ports din. Would appraciate any feedback from you guys. Balitaan ko din kayo findings if you do experience the same.

Ako nga kung hindi MAX AC, yun 2nd notch from MAX AC. Medyo mahina ang blower at thermostat ng Sportage. Sa Tucson kasi (auto climate) buhay na ako sa 1 bar * 21*C.

Siguro dahil na rin sa tint. Still using the original tint from planta, 3M BC35 tapos CS20 sa windshield.

Sa akin ok na 1 bar * 23*C basta nag cold down na ang cabin.

same here mga sirs, 4 clicks before max lang ang malamig..tapos nun blower nalang.

I observed it kanina, pang 4th may lamig pero konti lang siguro nasa mga 24deg tapos sa pang 5th blower nalang. Pwede ba paayos sa casa?

my daily drive is a civic FD 1.8S. driven it for 3 years na. prior to that, my daily drive was a honda city 1.5L CVT. sa tingin niyo worth it mag change na ako ng car? we have a red 2012 sportage. 2.0L 4x2. its our extra car. planning to sell the 1.8s na.

natatakawan ako sa gas ng sportage. 2k palang odo nito. performance wise, saan mas mabilis? 1.8s civic or 2.0 theta II in terms of acceleration? im always a spirited driver that is why performance is still my # choice. any advice? thanks! help me decide

^ I'd always keep the newest one, so I'd sell the FD. Besides, the Sportage looks better than the Civic. Probably because of the chrome rims that the Civic has (no offense)

consumption wise, I get 8km/L at an average for our 1.8 FD MT. I heard it's around 6-7km/L for the Sportage. Not much of a difference if you ask me kasi mas bigger naman yung Sportage to begin with. And higher displacement as well.

not sure how the two performs on sprints pero yun Hondas kasi high-revving meaning kailangan mo parati mataas RPM para maramdaman power nila, di ko lang sure sa Sportage, but kung low-revving yung Sportage siguro sa duluhan nalang makakahabol yun Civic say it's slower than the Sportage.

kung gusto mo naman ng fast car, sell the FD then buy a toy car. say a 2nd hand STi

Ok got back from the casa and tested the unit. According to them, marami na nag complain daw. Was brougth up with columbia na daw but no feedback pa. Since there is no official word about this, then they consider this "normal" haaay.

Sa disappointment ko na walang kinahinatnan yung lakad, went to big berts for paint protection. I must say the service there is top notch.

Based on my actual test, hindi aabot yung FD 1.8S kung R-eVGT yung Sportage/Tucson/Santa Fe/Sorento.

Pero kung Theta II baka tapatan lang..

Sir ito parts for the sportage speakers.
Yung OEM subwoofer PN#963803W000. I havent gone inside the sportage to check the real dimensions of the subwoofer.

And then meron trim lining sa luggage area for subwoofer, pero if you see a blank cover most likely hindi mo na kailangan ng new trim. As for the wiring, I still have to investigate.

May ibang Part Number din for the luggage trim, with and without subwoofer. Pero kung yung trim ng sporty mo mukhang may subwoofer blank cover, baka hindi mo na kailangan magpalit ng trim. As for the wiring, i still have to investigate. Mukhang hindi siya built in ampli, thus you may need to install amplifier.

Not yet checked kung kailangan ng new trim for your luggage compartment to accommodate the Sub. For the electrical, (patterned with Sorento) I dont think it will have the 'plug', so you might need to splice and have an external amplifier.
