most likely inconclusive pa to. wala pang 100 kms eh break-in period pa ko so alternating before 30 - 80 kph and not going over 3000 rpm. tapos more like 80% highway to 20% city yan.

You can drive above 100km/h sir. As long as you won't exceed 3000RPM.

Engine oil, oil filter, at aircon filter lang pinalitan. P1,500 yung labor.

Tsaka pina-reset ko yung aircon sa ECU kasi minsan hindi lumalamig, same na sakit ng mga Tucson with manual aircon controls.

Overall, very satisfied with Kia Congressional's service. Highly recommended

Hi Sir, if we would do an apples-to-apples comparison of the in-house (with freebies and upgrades) vs. bank loan (acquiring the same items from a third party), mas mura pa din ang bank loan.

    Take sa case mo sir:

    Sportage price ...... 1,158,000
    Less: DP .............. (347,400)
    Loanable amount ... 810,600

    Monthly amortization for 3 years .... 29,000 ------ total payments for 3yrs (29K x 36 months) = 1,044,000
    Interest rate (1,044,000 / 810,600) = 28.79% (rounded)

Sa bank naman (same figures) except for:
    Monthly amortization for 3 years .... 25,500 ------ total payments for 3yrs (25.5K x 36 months) = 918,000
    Interest rate (918,000 / 810,600) = 13.25% (rounded)

Dito sa computation na ito sir kita mo na agad: 1,044,000 vs. 918,000... A difference of 126K. Then analyze natin ung mga freebies mo:

    Insurance ....
    Chattel .....
    3 yrs LTO...
    TPL...
    Upgraded HU w/back camera ...
    Visor .....
    Matting ....

Ako ang ginawa ko nagloan ako thru Metrobank, got my own insurance from a third party. Freebies I got were:
    - discount of 10K off the purchase price
    - 3 years LTO
    - Seatcover (corduroy)
    - Rain gutters (complete set)
    - 3M Tint (complete including full windshield)
    - Floor mats
    - 1000 pesos worth of gas

I paid 500K as downpayment and financed the rest with monthly amortization of 13,800 for 5 yrs. Alam ko na obvious na mas mataas sa inhouse pero i still made a computation like what I suggested sau sir. Of course kapag sa inhouse ka ang number one mo naman kasi na binabayaran (i hope other tsikoteers would agree, hehehe) is yung convenience. Kasi ako medyo matagal bago ko maasikaso lahat ng kailangan kasi wala akong agent na magaasikaso for me. pag inhouse kasi like ung sa friend ko...usap sila nung umaga, nung hapon nakuha na niya ang innova nya. Yun ang price na binabayaran mo...Kung you are willing to go thru the hustle of dealing and completing all of the requirements and have a lot of patience then i suggest mag bank loan ka sir. and besides ung 50K++ na savings on your end is worth a lot...

Hope this helps sir! Good luck!
    congrats jeffhoi23

my agent is Fideli Bermudez halos tinapatan nya ang deals ko kaya sa in-house na ako kumuha.
    here's the breakdown * 1,158,000 selling price
    30%dp 347,400
    3yrs tpl 1,750

Yes, all units have that. It's supposed to protect against scratches from small projectiles (stones, rocks, etc) while driving at high speed. I had mine removed right away when I had New Car Paint Protection done at Big Bert's. If you have it removed much later, you will notice a discrepancy in the paint color of the covered area since it was not exposed to the elements. Esp if the unit is white like mine

I don't know kung sakit talaga yan ng Korean cars. Sa Sportage lang at Optra (which is made in Korea)

Paint protection is necessary if you don't wax your car like an addict.

Ako kasi I wax every week and wash twice a week.

Magandang araw po. Balak po sana naming bumili ng Sportage by July and pinagpipilian pa namin yung 2WD or AWD 2.0 Theta II.

Thanks for the quick reply sir.

ayun lang. pero you won't probably need the AWD kung sa baguio lang. besides, the AWD system will only be part time and is triggered when front wheels slip. there is an AWD lock button where the distribution of power will become equal on all wheels but it will only work until 30kph, then at above 40 kph, it will be cancelled and return to 4x2 mode.

on our AWD Sorento, di pa nagagamit yang AWD even driving to mountains (w/ roads). added weight lang siya sa vehicle.hehe. although never driven the theta-II, iba parin talaga the R-eVGT engine specially when driving long distances and the torque it provides is just spectacular specially sa inyo sir regular trips kayo sa baguio. yun nga lang you have to shell more money and expect higher maintenance costs. pero since you consider the AWD sportage. onti nalang strech (40k) R-eVGT na. 4x2 nga lang.

Thanks for the input sir. Very much appreciated.

More torque, more power, more satisfaction hehehe

Hi mga sirs, just wanna share my Sporty a.k.a SDF1

Ang ganda talaga ng Sportage, I parked beside a white unit a while ago.

    Bago pa yung kanya, TMI-***

Then couple of cars ahead was a white Tucson naman. I never thought I'd say this but I do like the Sportage more than the Tucson in terms of overall aesthetic appearance. 4x2 comparison ha.

Maybe because sobrang dami na ng Tucson sa daan and medyo onti palang mga Sportage? I don't know. Hehehe.

*Daison: Are your rain gutters chrome?

I'd suggest palitan niyo maski Fiamm AM80 (what I use right now). I bought it March 2010 for 700 pesos, I'm a horn happy person, pero gumagana pa rin until now. Walang paos or signs of ageing.

    Pot-pot pa yung tunog. Hehe.
